There is no lift to the room and as we were at the last floor it was a bit challenging to take our lugage up.

The view from terrace is spectacular! The terrace is huge and it is perfect place to relax in the morning or afternoons. The beach is just down the road 1km and is perfectly clean with blue sign for beach standards , blue green cristal clear sea, private beach with no crowds at all. The hotel location is very good, peaceful vilage area, but close to main road to Rethimino and also to south coast beaches which are very good for those who enjoy the sea more privately. The owner is very good and welcoming.

Worth visiting Creta island in march! A lot of sport activities for this season and no turists. My "base" was at this lovely hotel in best room with a view on a sea. Price was for a hotel very good! Such a nice owners, great food (and a lot), very clean room. Owner's wife was like my mom and she noticed every small detail I needed (for example 2 spoons in room,..). I also had a chance to see local's life cause they were gathering in a hotel's dining room to watch a TV together.

I have bad knees so the climb to our room was a little hard but that’s not their fault. LOL

The view from our balcony was lovely and our room was clean and nicely decorated. The meals we ate at the hotel were delicious! Josephine and Petros were wonderful hosts. I highly recommend this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay.

Nothing bothered me. Everything was perfect.

This place has a unique charm. The beautiful decor took me back in the peaceful old days. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. And we had a lovely balcony from where we looked at the stars at night. The beach is 28 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by car. The hosts are the nicest people. The food is delicious. I wish I had eaten more dishes. If I ever come back to Crete, I want to stay more days here.

The length of my stay. It was to short !

Everything! My room was fantastic. A greek dream with a huge balcony overlooking the green valley all the way down to the Sea. The Taverna served great food and a had a breakfast you sholdnt miss ! Mixture of both locals and tourists.

The owners Petros and Josi do everything to make you happy. The rooms are exceptionally clean, quiet, with aircondition, balcony or big terrace, and a direct view onto the sea. In the second floor there is a large sitting room with balcony, chairs and books. Breakfast is served everyday, and for the evening there are taverns (very nice: Virgin Mary) and a supermarket at the beach in walking distance. What a great place to be - highly recommended!!

The hotel is Not so gar away fron Plakias. It is In the mountain with a nice view on the sea.. The owners are really nice. we enjoyed out Star and as Weltherrschaft fabuleous breakfast.

The landlady, Josephine, is filipina and decorated the room as only she could. Everything was geared to make us comfortable. Three kilometres away there is a seafront restaurant with excellent food. My compassion rated it the best that we had on our two-week tour of the island.

The proprietors were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was great. Nice, boutique touches to the room which made the stay more enjoyable and accommodating.

Josephine, the Manager ist a hard working, super friendly Person. You can ask her anything, she will take care of you. She is also a great in cooking. Try the chicken in honey sauce, its so great!

The wetroom floor was very slippery, felt like wall tiles on the floor. Bed was only a double, but to be fair a larger bed might make the room cramped.

Beautifully presented room, all very clean. Basic but comfortable not large but had everything that was necessary including a refrigerator. At last a lovely soft bed. Large terrace with table chairs and fantastic view towards the sea. Breakfast excellent, good quality and plenty of it served at the table, eggs cake fruit yoghurt orange juice lovely coffee. We enjoyed our dinner both evenings, everything was delicious. Josephine is very welcoming and hospitable. Lots of stairs to reach the rooms, as expected so not counting as a negative. Look forward to staying here again.

After a few years, I was in the area again. It was clear to me, that I will stay overnight again at St. George. It was really excellent, as last time. Very clean room. Lovingly furnished. Everything you need is available. The hosts Petros and Josephine are extremely nice and friendly. The breakfast is very varied and the food in the in-house restaurant, is traditional, with fresh local products, freshly prepared and very tasty. I will definitely come back! OK the building isn't the newest and there are little things that aren't quite perfect. On the other Hand, that is also what makes the hotel so charmant. But, the hotel and the owners are honest and for me, that counts more than perfection and luxury. And in case anyone wonders, how I can judge after just one night? In the evaluation, I also used my experiences from 2016, when I was there for 14 days.
