Wonderful view of the mountains and the valley. Nice terrace for the morning, afternoon and evening sun. Very friendly and helpful host. Plenty of fresh food in the refrigerator for the first breakfast.

Bulgaria
The location is great - very quiet, but with an access to a minimarket and some tavernas. Chania is 20-30 minutes drive away from Aptera. Villa Athina is very comfortable, clean, with a spectacular pool, garden and views. The light and the scenery are very special. The host, Michail, is super friendly and easy to communicate with. He had to wait for us until after midnight, because our flight had a delay and welcomed us personally, took his time. All in all we had a perfect vacation and would hopefully visit Crete and Villa Athina again.

This is a beautifully spacious villa with many balconies & terraces to sit at different parts of the day! The views over Souda bay are outstanding & the villa is designed to be able to see them at every opportunity! We felt so at home there! The pool was lovely also! Recommend paying the extra to have it heated - we used it every day so it was worth it for us! The owners Stavroula & Kostas were incredibly kind & welcoming & very attentive to any needs we had through the holiday! Can’t recommend it enough! Would love to go back!

The owners were marvellous and welcoming. We were greeted with essential amenities. The villa itself had everything we needed, the location was great and the views fantastic.

The room had a great view of the bay. Room facilities were fairly basic but very comfortable for our stay, and it had all the essentials. The pool was great, although for me, not being a good swimmer.:), a little deep at 1.8 metres. The village tavernas are excellent. Walking in the local countryside is very good.

The views from the house are amazing and you can walk down to a choice of three taverna's (it's a hilly walk but pleasant) and there is a small supermarket at the bottom of the hill too. The pool area is lovely and the pool is a nice size, the garden is well cared for with fresh herbs. Our hosts were very kind and the house was spotlessly clean.

Sitting in the garden, in the early night, under the olive trees, looking at the distant lights and talking with each other - what a simple yet effective way to reach peace of mind. Great location with easy access to Chania and the national road which stretches from the East to the West of Crete. The guest house was lovely, good layout and traditionally furnished. Kitchen well equipped. The pool was gorgeous, with comfy sun loungers. Michail was super communicative and offered some great local recommendations for restaurants etc.
