Great place to stay. I have stayed here a few times now both for work and with friends for a weekend. Always comfortable and a good location. Close to town and I was even able to walk to my meetings. I ordered room service dinner as I was on my own and it was delicous! Highly recommend.

Interesting art deco architecture.
Interesting art deco architecture. The CBD is very walk-able. Good shops and restaurants; we highly recommend Mister D's bistro. Great central location for exploring the Hawke's Bay wine region.

Attended a concert at McLean Park, Napier is so compact it was an easy enough walk. Great eateries, restaurants and wineries. Also some nice stores although some of them were a bit pricey. So many towns and sights are close to Napier and is appropriate for children and adults of all ages. Warning, you definitely need more than just a couple of days!

Napier is a BIG little town with plenty to see and do and lots of seaside walks and inner cycle pathways to explore. Nicely laid out and good places to eat. The reason why big trucks drive through town centre is baffling as there is a bypass to the port and is noisy and ruins the vibe. The significant gang presence in Napier is concerning, they are everywhere and are rude, aggressive, intimidating and seem to revile in their pathetic existence to annoy others.

We stayed here for the Napier Art Deco festival and the location was perfect with lots of free parking which was a real bonus as the town was very busy and many streets closed for the festival. Wonderful hotel with great staff very helpful and friendly. The room on the 5th floor end of corridor was brilliant with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides the views were fab - in fact I watched the air display from there and had a closer view than people on the ground! We did not use the restaurant but did have breakfast at the swimming pool cafe opposite which was lovely and the Masonic Hotel which was also great. The location was a few minutes walk from the centre of the town so ideal We would absolutely stay here again but you need to book early for the festival in February - we booked in June the year before!

It's unfortunate that Napier, due to still struggling from the storms last year and the harvest staff requiring lodgings, it is very difficult to get reasonable accomodation. We visited Napier several years ago and absolutely loved it.
All of the staff were so pleasant and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, right up until we checked out. Even the cleaner smiled and acknowledged us as we were leaving our room which is not something you find everywhere. The hotel is in a great location, it was clean and the decor is 👌 I was concerned that it might be cold in the winter being a concrete building but I was wrong.
Such a charming place and wonderful experience. We will only stay here when visiting Napier from now on.
I didn't like this hotel.... I LOVED IT!!!! The lady at the front desk was super friendly, and my check-in was nice and quick and not a headache like the other hotels I've stayed at where they asked me a billion questions. I'll definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in napier. My bed was super comfortable, and my room was actually bigger than i expected which was brilliant.
Like most of the Maring Parade hotels, this one has been there for awhile and is ‘efficient living’ for those who want to be as close to the beach as can be. While i liked the property and especially manager Julie, one must understand that this, like every other property we saw, is a bit tired. We love the location, Julie, and it coziness.
Excellent facilities for children including playground, trampoline spa pool and games room. Kitchen facilities were also great and we cooked all our dinners in our units. Motel is just down the road from the supermarket, shopping centre and large outdoor playground. It was an easy drive in all directions to Napier, Hastings, and Bridge Pa.
Esther & Tom are delightful hosts. We loved our stay. Every detail from the linens, to wool blankets, to chocolates on the bed. The breakfast was delicious. The place is in walking distance to everything you would want to see in Napier. If you thinking of booking this place the answer is YES.
Really enjoyed the easy proximity to town and further afield.
The room was immaculate with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Staff were friendly and parking was easy, right outside the door.
I highly recommend this motel to anyone needing to stay somewhere in central Napier.
Great location, walking distance to the National Aquarium of New Zealand and city centre. On the beachfront main street but not noisy. It's our second time staying and again it's pleasant. Good for ppl who wanna spend a couple days exploring Napier city.
Very basic but was clean and fresh , soaps dispenser a little difficult to use .....small bottles would have better and more hygienic , great location. Was a busy weekend in Napier so a complex a little noisey :)
The central location and waterfront views were great, and the art deco architecture was just what we'd wanted for our time in Napier. There were shared clothes washing and kitchen facilities which we appreciated.
The location was excellent, with all the restaurants within walking distance. Marine Parade/seafront walk, was just in front of the hotel. The room had a sea view from the window and plenty of natural light.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Fairley Motor Lodge in Napier. Our room was spacious and spotless! The host was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at the Fairley!
The hotel is in the art deco style of the whole town of Napier and is located right in the middle of town. The room was well laid out and had everything we needed for a short stay.
This is an amazing historic hotel exceptionally presented. It’s like stepping back 100 years. Outstanding in every way, including the service. Absolutely nothing to fault!
What a pretty hotel to stay on Napier .. good location .. lovely stuff.. clean.. highly recommended for family to stay .. Surly I will be coming back here
