Interesting art deco architecture.
Interesting art deco architecture. The CBD is very walk-able. Good shops and restaurants; we highly recommend Mister D's bistro. Great central location for exploring the Hawke's Bay wine region.

Attended a concert at McLean Park, Napier is so compact it was an easy enough walk. Great eateries, restaurants and wineries. Also some nice stores although some of them were a bit pricey. So many towns and sights are close to Napier and is appropriate for children and adults of all ages. Warning, you definitely need more than just a couple of days!

Napier is a BIG little town with plenty to see and do and lots of seaside walks and inner cycle pathways to explore. Nicely laid out and good places to eat. The reason why big trucks drive through town centre is baffling as there is a bypass to the port and is noisy and ruins the vibe. The significant gang presence in Napier is concerning, they are everywhere and are rude, aggressive, intimidating and seem to revile in their pathetic existence to annoy others.

We stayed here for the Napier Art Deco festival and the location was perfect with lots of free parking which was a real bonus as the town was very busy and many streets closed for the festival. Wonderful hotel with great staff very helpful and friendly. The room on the 5th floor end of corridor was brilliant with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides the views were fab - in fact I watched the air display from there and had a closer view than people on the ground! We did not use the restaurant but did have breakfast at the swimming pool cafe opposite which was lovely and the Masonic Hotel which was also great. The location was a few minutes walk from the centre of the town so ideal We would absolutely stay here again but you need to book early for the festival in February - we booked in June the year before!

It's unfortunate that Napier, due to still struggling from the storms last year and the harvest staff requiring lodgings, it is very difficult to get reasonable accomodation. We visited Napier several years ago and absolutely loved it.
Our spacious room was on the ground floor with an outside sitting area overlooking an expanse of grass and water. The bed was comfortable and large, The room was well equipped with cutlery, crockery & a microwave. The bathroom & shower were spacious. The room was very quiet as it is surrounded by open grounds. It is between the airport and the main tourist area so you definitely need a car. We returned for a second night at the end of our visit to the Napier region as we had been so satisfied with the room and the tranquility.
This hotel has bags of character, it has so much going for it. It has a kind of fifties Art Deco feel which is very much in tune with Napier itself. The staff were great and there are some charming and thoughtful touches (like helping yourself to a glass of port from the library). I would definitely stay here again! It even has a lift.
Great stay in Napier with Mike & Maree! Very welcoming!
Great breakfast, conversation and laughs with M & M! Felt like family!
Mike also had great suggestions for dinner and excursions! Loved Craggy Ranch wine tasting!
Accommodations were clean with nice view and bed comfy! The bottle of wine was a nice touch and much enjoyed!
Definitely the best location in Napier.
Literally everything within walking distance. Close to the beach.
Close to fast foods and the super market.
Great neighbouring restaurant DRIFT is definitely value for money, a walk along Marine Parade provided lots of restaurants and bars.
Close to the cinema and Siamese Thai Massage.
Although small my superior single room was very comfortable.
The reception staff were very helpful at all times.
On my last day when there was a power fault in my room I was upgraded to a superior king for my last nights stay which was an added bonus!
A beautifull hotel ideally located in the centre of Napier
Excellent hotel in Napier. Can’t fault it at all. I appreciated the good location it is in, quick easy 2 min walk to cafes and shops. Room was very clean and loved how you could open the windows right across, nice to have fresh air and such a great view. Will definitely be staying here whenever we go to Napier.
Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable space, convenient to Bluff Lookout and town, Kitty and Peter are the best-ever hosts!!! Full breakfasts with warm from the oven home made breads and pastries are to die for!!! Napier is an awesome town, fun to stroll, bike and dine your way through!
These rooms are amazing. Huge bed, spa bath right in the bedroom, and beautiful view of the beach for awesome sunrises. We arrived later than reception was open but they were super accommodating and helped us get in. Every time we come to Napier from now on, we're staying here!
Charming property, hostess, easy 10 minute walk to Napier downtown and 15 minutes to Ahururi. Hostess met us with wine and beer and fresh fruit Nice places to sit inside and out. Liked that tv had chromecast. Oh and you could have a fire in the small wood fireplace.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel manager was lovely. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and had sleek and stylish decor. The location is within minutes walking distance of all Napier’s attractions. I would stay here again.
Room was nice and cold as they had put the Aircon on before we arrived. Straight accross the road from the beach and the Napier Aquarium. View was perfect. Room was clean and well equipped. Spa was lovely after all the rain.
The hotel host Tanya was warm welcome when we arrived. There is a beautiful view from the room we stayed. Room was spotless and everything is wonderful. We love the spa in the room. Very relaxing time in Napier.
We had a wonderful time in Napier with Sally and Gavin (the owners), we loved their kindness and helpfulness. The breakfast were amazing and the facilities were great and clean.
Will love to stay here again !
We loved the friendly atmosphere in and around the Motel. The facilities for the kids were awesome and the spa was the best. Great clean, comfortable accommodation close to both Napier and Hastings...
Love the decor, the location, the art deco vibe! We stayed in the Royal Suite and it was perfect!! Absolutely loved the Art Deco Masonic hotel and cannot wait for our next visit!!
So good waking up to an ocean view. Loved a good soak in the big spa after a long day walking around the marine parade. Absolutely enjoyed our stay highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was in a great location with a fantastic view. Napier city Centre was a 15 minute walk along the seafront from the hotel. The room was very well equipped.
