Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station. Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Beautiful accomodation, the food was incredible. We were nervous about the food but it exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend for a trip in Kamikochi. Brilliant location to climb Mount Yakedake.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. The hotel seems a bit dated, but it more than makes up with old school charm. A lot of effort was put into creating an exquisite experience showcasing Japanese food and culture. The special care put into preparing the rooms, onsen and even the manicured gardens will draw you to stay longer at such a welcoming hotel.it is no wonder the current Emperor and Empress of Japan have stayed there a few times! A bonus that the hotel is located about a 5min walk to the start of the snow monkey park! Thank you for your kind hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and had fun wearing the specially prepared yutakas to walk around the hotel.

Struttura molto bella, personale gentilissimo e disponibile. La nostra camera era un appartamento composto da stanza da letto con futon, ampio soggiorno e terrazzo. La camera aveva un arredamento un po’ datato ma comunque confortevole e spaziosa. Bella Onsen. Per la cena e colazione avevamo uno spazio tutto nostro ed è stato tutto magnifico per l’attenzione che il personale ci ha riservato. A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

Situato a soli 5 minuti a piedi dallo storico Santuario Togakushi, in una tranquilla zona di montagna, l'Oshi Ryokan, caratterizzato da un edificio principale con tetto in paglia risalente a 250 anni... The owners were amazing and did everything to make our stay wonderful. I was sick and they made me a special ginger tea which helped me a lot.

Situato a soli 10 minuti di auto dallo Snow Monkey Park, lo Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offre semplici sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita. Akira and his mother were incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home. They made me dinner and breakfast (gluten free and vegetarian) which was amazing. Their private Onsen is lovely and the room was really comfortable. Would highly recommend

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. I enjoyed everything about this stay. The room was very cozy, and their was an onsen inside the guest house as well. The main thing I wanna point out is the service - Kadowaki-san was such a fantastic host, helping with gear rental, recommendations, and general inquiries. It was very nice to talk to as well and very efficient with Google Translator :D. I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by ease the best place I stayed at. Will definitely be back to this place and highly recommend it.

Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Yudanaka, lo Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan offre sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita e TV a schermo piatto, un servizio... The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
