Felse Inn Gakusui is in a good location for the ski resorts and most shuttle buses come to it for the ski resorts. The breakfast was good, not too much and not too little and I absolutely loved their coffee!

It was only a 2 minute walk to Goryu and 5 minute walk to the gondola. The house facilities were amazing and meant we could cook every night. Met some cool people each night in the communal living area and great value for money! Will stay here again for sure!

The owners were so kind and helpful. They helped me bring my suitcases to the bus station even though it was a short walk. They were very friendly. I purchased breakfast for 1300 yen and it was delicious. The facilities were great. Laundry was provided and the beds were comfortable.

It is very clean and surprisingly spacious for Japan standard. The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk to Happo One ski resort and to the bus terminal as well. The onsen, although not big was a bonus in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Camera tradizionale ampia, calda e accogliente. Onsen per il dopo sci e bevande calde. Il capolinea dei bus di happo è a 5 minuti a piedi mentre il comprensorio di happo dista 14 minuti a piedi. Lawson a 6 minuti a piedi, noleggi sci a 5 minuti. (Consiglio woody)

We had a massive room with direct view of the ski mountain. Perfect location which is only a few minutes walk from the main ski lift in Hakuba. There was good breakfast there for an extra cost.

A friend and I stayed at Hosonokan for 7 nights and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the location was. Metres away from the bus terminal so visiting different ski resorts with all our ski gear was incredibly easy and minutes walk away from loads of great bars and restaurants. The room was huge and warm with a beautiful view of the town and Happo One mountain. 2 futons, 1 table and chair set next to the window and another traditional Japanese tea table with seats on the floor. We absolutely loved experiencing tradition Japanese accommodation. Plus having the onsen in the hotel is a treat, making is so easy to enjoy and recover after a massive day on the slopes. Our absolute favourite part of our stay was our host, Hiro. Always greeting us with a smile and a “welcome back”, helping us book taxis and restaurants and giving us morning chocolates to take with us up the mountain and for our long travel day home. He was just the best! I can’t recommend Hosonokan enough, I would definitely return :-)

You walked in and you felt like you were being invited into someone's house. The staff was very accomodating and exceptionally kind. There was a clear language barrier but we muddled through it together. I needed to arrive very early and they were even ready with breakfast. The onsen on site was a nice place to unwind at the end of the day. And their miso soup was some of the best I had while in Japan. This place is about a 7 minute walk with ski boots from the gondola. All the restaurants in the area bookup early but no fear the food that they serve for dinner here is excellent. The room itself while spartan did have heat, ac, a TV and a sufficient amount of space for you to move around and get work done with their excellent internet. I would strongly recommend this place and book the meals too. They even drove me to the train station because a cab wouldn't arrive in time. If you are going by bus it's a 3 minute walk. The yakutas were comfy too.
