Free WiFi is available throughout. Hard to single out a particular thing as our two day stay was thoroughly enjoyable. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The smell of burning wood from the open fire in the reception lounge. The outdoors hot tub is so enjoyable. Everything in the spa is spotless and very well maintained (swimming pools, sauna, steam room) and comfortable. We did not opt for the fine dining restaurant but enjoyed tasty light food in the confortable bar-lounge.

There are 2 private spa suites, and a breathtaking 20-metre pool, lit with Swarovski crystals. There are so many positive things to comment on. We loved our room - especially our nice big walk in wardrobe and bathroom. The calming colours, the cleanliness, the spaciousness were all here (alot of the times in other hotels something is lacking but not here). We ate dinner at the Sally Gap, I was very impressed with how smooth everything ran especially as they had only just re-opened. The food was delicious - my veg burger was the best I have ever eaten (and I've eaten many), my Mum had steak and it was cooked exactly as she requested. Breakfast was perfect, as I like fresh fruit and coffee and my Mum enjoys a hot breakfast so both our needs were met. I absolutely loved the pool where I enjoyed a quiet adult only morning swim. Every single member of staff we interacted with were friendly yet professional, I wish all hospitality staff could be like this! I can honestly say this was one of the best short break hotel experiences I've ever had.

Lovely looking restaurant, we didn't eat there, but it's available. There is a service station close by for snacks if needed.

Boasting picturesque views of the Wicklow Mountains, Birchdale House is nestled in the rural setting of Greenan, 5 minutes’ drive from Rathdrum. It offers free parking, free Wi-Fi, a guest lounge with board games and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with Sky channels. The loction was beautiful; the facilities were amazing. There was a great sitting area, wich we used. Even had an outside "bar" area with tables and drinks for purchase. The staff was amazing, Tom greeted us and was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this location! Oh and the breakfast options were delicios and plentiful!
