Clifden
Situated on the outskirts of picturesque Connemara National Park, Ben Breen House is a family-run B&B offering modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, free parking, and easy access to Clifden, just a 10-minute drive away. I just loved our welcome, the comfort of our room and the wonderful breakfast the following morning. The situation is remarkable, with views across the lakes and the mountains. It was so good I will always return when I'm in this area again. The hostess, Noreen, is marvelous and so helpful with information of the surrounding area. A fantastic place to stay in the heart of Connemara countryside but within easy driving to Clifden. Clifden is a real gem with great live traditional music, restaurants and shopping. My only regret is that I didn't have the time to stay longer. Well done Noreen. I really hope to come back some day.

What a wonderful 3 nights in Oughterard. Gregory and Deirdre are amazing hosts. Deirdre generously loaned her golf trolley for my round at Oughterard Golf Course, which was just minutes away. The location is idyllic... along the river, with a trail (short cut) into town. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Enjoyed visiting with the other guests while we ate. Would love to come back during fishing season.

Location and view were great, the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. Dinner was lovely and staff were great.
We had organised afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. Thanks to the staff, who were very attentive. Had spa treatment on Friday and that kicked off a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Hotel is in a lovely location and the view is stunning!
We had a lovely relaxing short break
Such a warm welcoming hotel. The perfect place to sit and relax after a cold hike! Lovely communal spaces, filled with friendly people.
Had a wonderful time at this very well-equipped and spacious cottage on a farm with beautiful surroundings. A really lovely place to relax by the coast, very scenic and a great base for sampling all that Connemara has to offer. The hosts, Josephine and Greg are so helpful and welcoming and provided great recommendations on touring and dining locally. We really enjoyed our stay at this property.
Breakfast was lovely. The atmosphere in the hotel was just so relaxing. Bar staff so friendly. Loved the open fire.
We stayed at the hotel for our 20th wedding anniversary 💕,we got upgraded to a fantastic suite looking out at the sea ,bottle of wine and connemara biscuits on arrival ❤ . Food was lovely, bar and music were great , staff were really friendly especially bar man Michael and the young girl at reception was so welcoming. We will definitely be back
staff were lovely and we were upgraded as we were on honeymoon
Stayed here many a time. Beautiful setting, lovely staff & overall feeling of relaxation. Have stayed with my partner in double rooms, & single rooms when visiting with friends. On this occasion, the single room I was given was v. dreary & more expensive than usual so bit disappointing overall. I would still visit again given everything else was so good, but would look into single room details more next time as soon could do with an upgrade & are overpriced for what is on offer
