  • “The place is old, and at the top of a mountain, but it is pretty and fairly well maintained by the Indian owners and local help. The pool is pretty nice and 45 feet long; I swam 22 lengths before quitting. The room was cramped but fairly clean. No big frills here, just a place to crash for a night or 3.”

  • “Welcoming and friendly staff in reception.”

  • “the bed was ok”

  • Greystone Lodge on the River Review score: 10

“Very central , staff were lovely .”

  • “The two at reception when we checked in were great. The lady, Angie, gave my daughter a bear stuffed toy (which she took with her everywhere on her travels and now lives in London). The man there too gave lots of great local advice. Breakfast was exceptional and the room was clean”

  • “Coffee was acceptable but only just. Staff were attentive and helpful. Interested guests can view license plates from very many states and provinces. One vehicle had European license plates. On the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, I saw two black bears in a single hour. The electric vehicle chargers were convenient and gratis. No dryer was present, but there were two washing machines ($3.50 per large load, coins at front desk). We stayed 5 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.”

  • Gatlinburg Inn Review score: 8

“Located on Gaitlinburg main street, close to everything, and with privatparking on-site, a big bonus in Gaitlinburg. We had a balcony (with rockingchairs) facing the parkinglot and backside of the main street, and had hoped for less noice, but we had the haunted house just next to us, with a welcom melody with no variation, you quickly grow tired of that. Rooms are not big, but enough for a coupple of days. Breakfirst was ok. The hotel is oldfashion - but charming.”

  • Four Seasons Inn Review score: 8

“The river behind the room provided a very pleasant sound, rocking chairs overlooking the river were nice, beds and pillows were great, fridge and microwave were a nice touch, room was very large and shower was good!”

  • “The room was a great value for the money. It wasn't a room it was a condo!”

  • Motel 6-Lexington, VA Review score: 10

“The Inn is in a great location and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. We were here to attend our daughter's graduation and the accommodations provided by the hotel exceeded our expectations. Thank you!”
