The Lodge was beautiful. It is in a sleepy, but beautiful, part of Skye. It feels like a real rest. The staff was absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed the 10-course tasting menu at the restaurant. This was a lot of fun and a real treat. Finally, the beds at the Lodge are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel. We would happily return anytime.
Hotel in Raasay
Isle of Raasay Distillery in Raasay has 4-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. At first I hadn't realized that the hotel is not at Skye but on another island, which requires a ferry . It made me so nervous that I almost booked another hotel. Thank god, nothing else was available. Raasay and the Distillery is one of the best places we ever stayed in! The hotel is beautiful! Charming and warm. The view from our room was breathtaking, the room was modern and beautifully furnished. Staying on an isolated island is an amazing experience. We met a few members of the team and they were all super friendly, welcoming and had a lot of patience for our endless questions about the isle, the habitants, the roads, the sights, etc. I wish we had time to stay longer. Breakfast was very good, tasty and assorted. The restaurant has a huge glass window facing the sea. The scenery is so beautiful that we couldn't care less about the food :-)

Tobermory
Amazing service from the staff at Harbour Guest House as well as their sister hotel, The Western Isles Hotel. Definitely recommend this spot for the location and really personable managers. After a mix-up on the first night, I really felt taken care of by Kirsty and Sophie. I ended up staying in Room 6 and the view was killer. Breakfast was tailored to my allergies and they even allowed a later check-out and stored my bags for me. Would recommend it to other 20-somethings trying to find themselves in Tobermory!
Tobermory
A lovely stay at a super clean B&B a few minutes walk from the sea front. Lovely bedroom with en-suite, very nice buffet breakfast with cereal, toast and a buffet including bagels, croissants, cold meats, smoked salmon and cheeses. On-street parking right outside and very welcoming hosts. Ate at the Western Isles hotel one night and at a local Pub on the sea front the second - both very good.
Only stayed a brief night when travelling Western Isles to Wales, but Hotel is in outstanding location, all clean, all comfort of a decent hotel you can think off, charm and was truly pet friendly.
The bedroom was lovely but the en-suite bathroom was VERY small and needed modernising - this was disappointing for a good hotel like the Western Isles.
Perfect for myself as a base for work would also use the Caladh Hotel if I was on holiday in the Western Isles
Exceptional staff (especially Sam and Sue), impressively large and comfortable rooms and delicious meals, prepared with lots of love.
The staff are exceptionally accommodating, friendly and good at their job. The food was fantastic and the wine choices surprisingly decent.
The location and view of the water is insane! It is calm and allowed you to really appreciate the sunset setting after 11pm.
The best Hotel on the island... incredible staff. Very warm, cosy, contemporary. Clean and the food superb - worthy of a london restuarant and 3x the price I cannot fault it in any way!
The Staff and room where amazing!
Location, facilities and staff
A very nice hotel in a perfect location - close to the ferry and three main roads crossing the Isle of Colonsay. The hotel Staff is very polite and always ready to help, the rooms are comfortable and well-heated. I enjoyed both the full Scottish breakfest in the morning and fish & chips in the evening. A great base to explore the Isle of Colonsay!
