Hotel La Gaviota Tropical has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Hermosa. Great location - right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants, etc. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a balcony with view of ocean. Great restaurant - Roberto's - on the premises. Food and menu selections were very good for both breakfast and dinner. One of my favorite parts of this hotel was all the varied spaces where one could sit outdoors: at the restaurant right on the beach (or up under cover out of the sun); on the upper level where there was a small pool and a great view of the sunset over the water; and at least one area on each floor with a couple of chairs/ loveseat/ coffee table. Highly recommend!

Located in Coco, a few steps from Coco Beach, The Palms At Coco Beach has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Really loved The Palm! Staff was beyond courteous and friendly. From Luis, Stevie at check-in, to the office manager Zaida (sorry if I misspelled), the restaurant staff is excellent too, especially one of the waiters who's name I forgot ("Jean"-something, sorry! With the tattoos). My room took a few hours after check-in to be ready, but I understand working in the industry myself. The staff was more than friendly to accommodate my wait, offered me drinks, which was not needed but appreciated. The pool area is so chill, I did not expect to spend as much time as I did there. Didn't even dip in, it's just a nice atmosphere with relaxed restaurant staff. The restaurant menu was also excellent, a mix of American and Costa Rican fair. I will definitely be back at The Palm if I come back to Coco.

The breakfast was super good and typical. The staff was amazing. We enjoyed the view of the beach from the hotel in the morning. I would go again
