It is a family situation, very very basic.

It is a family situation, very very basic. Clean with a kitchen that had no cooking utilities other than a coffee maker & fridge that did not work. I had a cooler, my own cooking supplies etc so it worked for me. Radio & Tv could be a bit loud but shut down early. I have lived in Latin America, so I understand a family situation where many may not! I loved the hostess! I love the proximity to the beach in the downtown and if you don’t have a vehicle to get around, it’s perfect for that and super inexpensive! Bonuses for travellers who don’t want to be a hostel

Costa Rica is beautiful and the people are friendly and lovely to get to know. There are options for those who are active - think hiking through the rainforest, fishing, surfing or for relaxing - think sitting by the pool or ocean with a good book. The shopping is fun. There are animals and beautiful nature - volcanos, waterfalls, flowers to surround yourself with.

    Easy drive from Liberia Airport.

Easy drive from Liberia Airport. The town is small enough to be friendly and just large enough to have what you need. The beach is nicely maintained and easy to access. The people was very friendly and although the language is Spanish, we didn't have any problems communicating.

    Amazing views from the hills.

Amazing views from the hills. This is a quieter town but plenty of businesses to keep you entertained. CocoNutz and Zi Lounge are the most lively spots for night life. A variety of restaurants including Mexican, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, BBQ and burgers. MegaSuper for groceries (had everything including liquor). I would happily stay here again.

Nice place to stay and relax.

Nice place to stay and relax. It has nice beachfront restaurants and nice cafes. In Coco I ate at Café Corazón, went for gelatto, ate at El Capricho Mexican Restaurant, at Tortuga, and at El Ancla. Then went further out to Ocotal, and visited Father Rooster on a Wednesday and there was live music which was great. Then visited Hermosa and had a drink during sunset at Aqua Sport. All are nice spots. Ideal if you have a car!

Coco was more active than some beach spots…the local beach was okay but preferred Ocotal better…good restaurants and 2for1 drinks…sidewalks same as everywhere…not great Better prices for souvenirs….can rent old cart weekly if not sold out…we didn’t get one :(

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's just a block away from Coco Beach. It was nice to have an apartment with 2 bedrooms (only 1 bathroom though) when traveling with friends. Especially the big, comfortable veranda for shared time. We appreciated being able to use their laundry one night-just ask staff to help. It was a new concept for us to bring plates, etc. from our apartment kitchen, to get our breakfast, which was the usual fare, and plentiful. Very good air conditioners and Wi-fi. Everybody enjoyed the clean pool.

The property is beautiful and set two blocks back from the main beach, a short walk. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as we arrived early and stored our bags in the office while we sat poolside waiting for checkin. The room was very large with plenty of space to put our bags. We had a snack in the Garden Bar, which was delicious and very reasonable. The included breakfast was delicious and prepared on the spot after ordering. I would stay here again if I returned to Playas del Coco. A great choice!

Excellent location with a short walk to a quiet corner of Coco beach and some delightful restaurants. The mature gardens and pool area were well kept and never crowded. Our room was spacious and comfortable Breakfast each morning was unfussy and enjoyable. We liked the nice touch of the provision of two camp chairs for use on the beach. Sitting under a tree by the beach in the morning before the heat of the day was a real joy. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

This is a cute beachside hotel, with a very roomy balcony overlooking the ocean! The security staff was always around in the evenings, making it feel very safe! I think only one staff member spoke English while we were staying there but with the help of Google translate it was easy to communicate. Free breakfast was a wonderful bonus! This was our only stay in Costa Rica with free breakfast - with an ocean view!

The place was very comfortable, clean and well located (5-10 min walk to the beach). Jesus Manuel and Diego were very easy to communicate with and were welcoming. We were a group of 4 friends working remotely and the internet connection was reliable and stable. The pool and shared spaces are very nice - the condos are very well maintained. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend Coco and Valle Dorado!

Coco Verde was amazing. The owners kept the place spotless. Lovely little casita. Beautiful kitchen area, tiled floors, lovely long wooden table in front of window that allowed breeze to flow in. I even had my own bedroom. 300 meters to the beach. Highly recommend. As a retired woman travelling solo, I felt very safe and secure.

Air conditioner blows cold in every room. I loved the pool, So nice! Walking distance to the beach. The ambiance of the villa definitely gave vacation vibes. There was food and store close by. About a 12-15 minute walk to the coco beach strip with all the bars/restaurants!
