Huge line to get a photo under it.
Huge line to get a photo under it. You’re better off catching a cruise and seeing it from the lake instead. Plus if you go on the pirate cruise (free with the Hakone free pass from Odakyu) then you can get a nice photo in front of the shrine on the pirate ship.

The hotel runs a shuttle bus from the nearby transpot hub on the banks of the lake, where buses to and from Odawara as well as the sightseeing cruise ships can be boarded. The hotel was also extremely clean and well presented. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

The landscape is supposed to be very beautiful when the flowers are blooming, the lake and mountain view from the rooms are nice, the hot springs in the hotel are very comfortable, the hotel to the bus station , ferry port, restaurants as well as to the hakone shrine is in walking distance.

We are also very happy because the staff made us very feel special. They have attended all our needs from arrival to dropping us off to the bus station. The traditional Japanese breakfast was superb. The area is near Lake Ashi and Hakone Shrine where you can further relax and enjoy nature.

We had the lake view and got my son the mountain view, his room was actually the better choice. It was bigger and was at the corner so it had a view of the mountain and the lake! The location was great and a short walk to the Hakone Shrine. The staff was great too! I also loved the little welcome sign with our names in the front.
