The hotel was extremely close to stanstead airport, which is why we booked. We really were not expecting the rooms to be so quaint. It was a basic room but with added touches to make it feel really nice, and not just a pre holiday room.

A clean and homely room with a lot of consideration for the guests, there were dressing gowns, soaps, good coffee and snacks etc. provided. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. It was a very welcome break when we had to stay an extra night at the airport. Great pub downstairs for socialising in the evening. Would definitely stay again!

Check-in was a wonderful and personal, as the owner just happened by at the right time. The room was big, with a sitting area, a small table and stools, and a tea area, fully stocked.

To the side there is a public footpath that takes you on a scenic route through the farmland to Little Canfield, where we had dinner the night before heading off to Stansted for our early morning flight. The courtyard was nice. We sat and ate dinner outside. There is a local pub and takeaways 5 mins walk away. Friendly reception and on time. Very nice layout.

The owner was able to provide a shuttle service, which was super helpful, and the place itself was very comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a really nice stay. As a bonus, I was able to get some food delivered to my room for dinner. Highly recommend!
