I loved this hotel! This was the cutest room for one at the top floor of the inn. It had a skylight that opened for fresh air that looked over the tops of houses, and the other window looked out over the harbor. The bathroom mirror was amazing. It was the perfect ambient lighting to get ready. I need one for my bathroom at home. Because the room was so high up and away from the other rooms, it was also very quiet. I felt like I was the only person in the hotel.

We were very pleased. Very convenient location both for people coming on the ferry , and touring the area. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Highly recommended..

The staff were wonderful. Jenna was so helpful in taking care of all needs and spending time with directions etc. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, and so quiet and comfortable. Nice choice of dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was great. So much to choose from and everything locally sourced. Will definitely stay again. Also very close to every site one wants to visit.

Perfect location, quiet with lovely outside space to enjoy and less than a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal. Beautiful guest house, very comfortable with lots of thoughtful little extra touches throughout for guests to enjoy. The home cooked breakfast was exceptional 😋 and the owners were welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Thank you!

Amazing location and wonderful friendly staff at reception. We visited during a festival (Stromness shopping week) so very bustling and busy times but the Ferry Inn team helped us with quieter rooms. The feel is one of a truely old Inn above a pub that was upgraded, very cool. The meal at the pub was nice and the whole pub feel excellent.

A comfortable small hotel in a great location. Clean rooms with the expected amenities, offering a very good breakfast. We booked in for dinner on one evening and wished we had booked for more. Excellent food.

The overall impression was poor; the receptionist seemed overly eager to get our money. The hotel was down at heel and in urgent need of referbishment. It was understaffed and the service showed this . The standard of dinner and breakfast was poor and the dishes were very overpriced. In general there was an air of grudging hospitality. It made you wonder why the management ran a hotel if there was so little intent to welcome.

The room was a little dated in decor, but very clean and comfortable. We were expecting to stay in the pub, but were just round the corner in a guest house run by the pub. Breakfast and dinner in the pub were wonderful and the staff were great.
