We had a private room that had everything we needed. We booked a few different tours with the hostel without any problems. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and the happy hour with free beers was also a nice add-on :)

Loved the location, it was basically close to the main nightlife area, the historic lake and just in the middle of a bunch of really small commercial streets. Felt like we didn't have to wander too far to see everything. We had one of the top floor room which was super cool because of the rooftop views, which I always like. No balcony though, but really big windows! The little pool by itself seemed okay, although when we were there it was kinda chilly, so no need to use it. The shared facilities like the pool, bar and eating area felt a little bit tight though, but that's the norm in Hanoi I suppose. It had a lift, which was very helpful since the hostel had a lot of floors.

Decent location in old quarter. Good dorm room set up with clean bathroom. Staff very helpful and can book various tours through buffalo. Variety of food on offer, although breakfasts are always the same.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Was on a business trip, but the target market is definitely backpackers and party people. The staff were friendly and the daily breakfast was exceptional for being included in the price. The 'free beer hour' was exactly as advertised, though only had the chance to capitalize on it on the weekend since I wasn't back til 10pm on weekdays. Speaking of which, the area gets very crowded and lively by 10pm every day, since the hostel backs onto "Beer Street" in the Old Quarter, which might be worth considering depending on the purpose of your trip (it's not a quiet area). The value for money was overall amazing, and I would happily stay there again, albeit on a trip for leisure in the future.
