Rayan was incredibly nice and helpful ! He is really a very kind person and extremely helpful. I checked in very late as my bus got late unexpectedly, so he stayed there waiting for me to reach and I even got surprised finding him in the bus station waiting to guide me as I was alone and it was dark over there. His wife is super nice too and was assisting me and briefing me about the area better than one guide I got later and for whom I uncessary extra paid 😅.She provided me with a map, area description, and she Was helping with pleasure. U will not feel that she is doing it by obligation. She really does is with a lot of love. They were very welcoming and available every min u will require their help. It was really a very beautiful place to stay, clean, well organized, confortable and PERFECT !!!! I really HIGHLY recommand it ! A lot of love to this couple 🧿❤️❤️

Absolutely everything: it starts from one of the most generous hosts and their beautiful villa near a river where the rippling sound of the water makes you fall sleep. The hosts are the main gems here , everything was very clean , comfortable. The breakfast was top notch , I would not forget the homemade Zucchini bread by Katia. During my last days, I was relocated to a room which had even better view of the river and I could hear the sound of it all day. All the hikes I did there are absolutely memorable. I know for sure where to stay next time.

I highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers and others who enjoy nature and want to get away from tourist hot spots. The hosts Ryan and Katya have worked hard to create a comfortable, relaxing, and affordable "home away from home" in a beautiful location. The hostel is spotless and cozy, with large rooms and plenty of space to lounge around inside and outdoors. The kitchen is well equipped and guests also have access to fresh vegetables and herbs growing on the property. Ryan and Katya made sure that I felt comfortable on the property and offered great advice for exploring the area. I traveled without a car and had no issues using the bus system and my own two feet to get where I wanted to go. The other travelers I met at the hostel were also very kind, friendly, and down to earth.

This was one of the most beautiful and awesome hostels I have ever stayed at! Katja and Ryan are so welcoming, helpful, kind and there to chat, they truly went above and beyond. The location is stunning, I struggled to move out of the lovely hammock over the river which was crystal clear and refreshing to swim in. The free breakfast was amazing, katja would bake a different baked good each day. You can walk to vintgar gorge, free 5ish min shuttle to bled, and other free shuttles to hikes nearby. Sponje Gorje is not touristy at all like Bled, it’s a really lovely place to stay and riverside chill is so homely and sparkling clean. You can sit on the big balcony, by the chair and table on the riverbed, in the hammocks, lie back in the deck chairs… perfect place to relax in serene nature. The riverside chill hostel is honestly a little idyllic piece of paradise, I kept extending and coming back! I can’t wait to return as soon as I can.

Beautiful and comfortable property! Katja and Ryan are wonderful hosts. Anyone who has solo-travelled can appreciate the love and effort they’ve put into their work. Highly recommend staying here whilst in Slovenia! Would also recommend hiring a car.

The hosts were absolutely amazing! Canadian and Slovene hospitality at its finest. It was borderline comical how nice the hosts were. You will be treated with reverence.
