It’s perfectly located, with a surreal view of the sea. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff is warm and accommodating. The breakfast was just enough. We would definitely come back, and we will miss it when we leave.

Our room had direct access to the 1st floor terrace with amazing ocean views (I think we got a better room than booked). On the ground floor, you have similar views, which you enjoy during breakfast (excellent! buffet) and dinner (if you decide to stay in the hotel). Lovely hosts, family run, and close to beautiful and quiet beaches around Sant'Angelo.

Villa Maria is a truly special experience. We stayed in the annex (Dependance in Italian) which is a separate 5 room facility on the hillside above the hotel. We LOVED the expansive sea view from the terrace of our room (#27). We didn't mind the 5 min walk to the hotel proper for breakfast and dinner. It was well worth it for the view and the quiet. I strongly recommend that you take the Half Board option. You can add this afterward if you have booked through Booking. It was an amazing value that you won't be able to replicate for double the money in town. But you have to like fish and there is no choice for Primo and Secondo. The signature antipasti buffet will amaze you no matter how jaded you might be by Italian food. Finally you will be treated like family by the proprietors of Villa Maria. Everyone on staff is helpful and "molto gentile". We'll certainly be back.

The hotel has an amazing view from the terrace and a private beach nearby with a lovely beach cafe. The room was equipped with air conditioner and a fan. Warm greetings to the staff - the friendliest and most helpful people I have ever met in any accommodation, we always felt like home when entering the hotel area. I would recommend to have a dinner, which has multiple courses and offers real Italian tastes. It was our first visit to Ischia and we were extremely happy that we found Villa Maria. We enjoyed every moment spent there.

The pictures online do not fully convey the amazing views, terraces and gardens of Hotel Villa Maria. I highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel. A traditional multi-course Italian meal....antipasti, Primi, Secondi, etc. Note, from the #1 bus dropoff, you will have to walk towards Sant'Angelo and then go uphill on a path to reach the hotel. But, the hotel is worth the effort. The base of the path is located at the entrance to Sant' Angelo.

There’s not enough space to write everything we loved about Villa Maria. The family that run the hotel are so welcoming, the food was amazing, the view was beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable, equip with everything you’d need for your stay. We couldn’t recommend Villa Maria enough.
