At the heart of the ancient Stari Grad, our house provides five centuries of history in contemporary comfort. With three rooms and six beds, a spacious vine-covered terrace and a garden, this home is ideal for a stylish summer holiday.
We are available by email at all time for any questions, and our on site housekeeper can also be of guidance.
The old town of Stari Grad is a classified UNESCO monument. Originally the island's capital, before the city of Hvar, its history spans 24 centuries. Its churches are in Venetian style, as is the campanile of St Stjepan or the Franciscan monastery. The church of St John dates back to the 6th century, with its mosaics and pre-Romanesque vaults. The city is crawling with small shops, restaurants, and is large enough to allow the traveler to get lost in its maze. Stari Grad is the arrival port for the ferry, so ideally located with respect to the coast. One can also arrive by seaplane from Jelsa, which is distant by seven kilometers.
