Rural & luxurious. A characterful cottage in a converted barn that sleeps 3 in the stunning Shropshire countryside. The bedroom is on the ground floor and has a king size bed along with a day bed that can be made up as a very comfortable full size single. There is also the option of Pippin, a retro V dub in the orchard, Pippin is a unique second bedroom with a king size bed, electric and a loo. Pippin is very popular with children and is available April until October. There is a small additional charge for Pippin that can be paid on arrival, please contact me to ensure availability. Up stairs is a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and dining area. The cottage is open plan with no internal doors and a wooden staircase, it is therefore not suitable for crawling babies or toddlers. Alfresco dining and seating areas, fabulous hot tub, orchard, pond, small wood and firepit. Just 10 minutes from the medieval market town of Ludlow, an architectural gem with fabulous restaurants, pubs and cafes. We are dog, bike & walking boot friendly.
I’m a country girl, content on my Shropshire hill with plenty of 4 legged friends. I have 2 spaniels and a terrier, Henry the Appaloosa horse, a small flock of sheep, an assortment of chickens and a couple of geese. I live next door at Pillar Box Farm. I am around most of the time and am very happy to help with any aspect of your stay. A breakfast hamper can be provided at a small extra cost. I can also receive an online shop for you.
Haytons Bent is a peaceful, rural Shropshire community. We enjoy stunning views and lovely walks. Ludlow is a 10 minute drive away. A thriving medieval market town, an architectural gem with of wealth of fabulous restaurants, pubs and cafes. Ludlow has events and festivals throughout the year. The surrounding lanes are a delight, quiet and picturesque, perfect for cycling. Pillar Box Farm Cottages are a great base for a cycling or walking holiday. However they are also a luxurious and stunning place for a relaxing escape. A list of local taxi firms can be provided.
