Buckthorns House is over 200 years old and has a great character. We only have one letting room and when you are our guests, you will also have our drawing room to yourselves. Although you get to the room through the house you are effectively on the "west wing" and have complete privacy and quiet. We have lovely gardens to wander in and the walk to the sea and the famous Fife coastal path is 15 minutes away. Breakfast is served in the drawing room with views over the fields to the sea.
Christopher is a freelance food writer and organises food tours, workshops and private food events. Dinner booked in advance is available. Caroline is a freelance photographer whose award winning work covers everything from weddings to pet portraits and commercial photography in between. We are always available to offer advice on our locality from the nearest pub to a great walk!
We are based on the edge of Upper Largo,a small village in the east neuk of Fife. The property is down a private road and is very quiet opposite a working farm. We are south facing with views across our garden to the fields and the "firth of Forth" beyond.
