The property is beautiful, with new, cozy, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms and common area (and a well equipped kitchen that is a dream!); the host and staff lovely and the environment great. It also has a nice terrace to practice yoga, for example, in the mornings and a hang out area outside. The location is super quiet, about an 8 min drive to the center or 20 minute walk.

I stayed at Pinidu's hostel for a total of 4 nights. It is easily among the best hostel experiences I have ever had (having stayed at more than 40 in the past few years...). The room/bed/bathroom is spotless. The hosts are extremely attentive to detail- gave me tour of the garden and recommendations about where to visit. Above all, I must say that Pinidu is an exceptional human being. After I left the hostel, I had a medical emergency and contacted him for advice. He exchanged with people he knew and sent a friend to the hospital to personally make an appointment for me as I returned to the city. I stayed again at his place for two more nights while I did more tests, during which he was extremely supportive and sought to help me be comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough. The family I lived with truly healed me. The house was very Victorian looking and the owner took great pleasure in telling me about the history of the area and people. The time during which I found this place, I wasn’t well emotionally but the amount of motherly care and familial these people showed me every morning, healed me. Laundry services, breakfast and coffee, helping me with recommendations, good conversations, their dog I loved, the way the birds would fly inside the house sometimes like straight out of a Disney movie, and most importantly, the love. All facilities were super clean and nice- towels, clean toilet, linen, mosquito net, fan, etc etc. A small tuktuk ride away from the fort too!
