We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Golden Residence during our visit to Kegalle, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere that greeted us. The facilities at The Golden Residence were quite satisfactory, providing a comfortable and pleasant environment for the stay. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had all the necessary amenities to ensure a cozy stay. It was evident that the management takes pride in maintaining their property to a good standard. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality extended by the host. From the very beginning, they went out of their way to make sure that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. Their attentive nature and willingness to cater to even the tiniest of needs made me feel truly valued as a guest. It was heartwarming to witness their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond to fulfill any request we had. I must emphasize that the level of friendliness and helpfulness displayed by the host is something I have rarely encountered in my travels. Their genuine care for their guests is commendable and truly sets The Golden Residence apart from other accommodations. It's not just a place to stay; it's a place where you feel like you're being welcomed into a warm and caring environment. If you're planning a visit to Kegalle, I highly recommend The Golden Residence as your homestay of choice. Not only will you find the facilities to be comfortable and satisfactory, but you'll also experience a level of hospitality that is second to none. Our stay here was memorable, thanks to the incredible host.

Wanakaset Forest Glamping is situated in Kitulgala. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 49 km from Leisure World. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The place was amazing, in the middle of the jungle we seen many fireflies at night and the food was delicious. The best place we're stayed at Sri Lanka!!

The first stop in Sri Lanka for me, my wife and our 17 months year old was Green Leaves Garden and we can highly recommend it! This was a really good way to get to know Sri Lankan culture. Anushka, the host, is such a nice and genuine person and he will help you with everything. We got to eat wonderful local food cooked by his family (if you eat vegan/vegetarian it's not a problem, in fact the opposite), go on hiking, visited different tempels, did a jeep safari, went to a herbal garden, a biological garden, a tea factory, even visited a funeral and got to know his wonderful family and friends. If you want to see elephants we really recommend you to see them in their natural habitat on a safari instead of visiting other places such as the orphanage (when we did research, several sources witnessed of the elephants being mistreated). Anushka picked us up from the airport and drove us to our next destination in Weligama after seven days. He even helped us with a missing bag from the airport. On our trips we always had interesting conversations about Sri Lankan history and current affairs and he was a professional guide on the different activities. We lived in a "simple" mud house which was very common back in the days. The room was spacious, had three double beds, a refrigerator, bathroom and air conditioner. We were in Sri Lanka for 30 days and spend seven days here and it was a great decision. If you want to get to know the real Sri Lanka, learn about it's culture and get new friendships, this is a great way to do it!

The accommodation provides a shared lounge, and currency exchange for guests. We felt very walmly welcomed and like a temporary addition to the family. Ravi met us off the bus in his tuk tuk and his family were there to greet us when we arrived at their home. We found the room very comfortable, loved the balcony space and the fridge! It's a tranquil place within a village so no shops or restaurants, just local life. Rebecca cooked delicious food and Ravi's mum showed us around their garden and all the fruit and medicinal plants. She is a very interesting and lovely lady. If you are considering staying here, don't think any longer!

Bogambara Stadium is 40 km from the guest house and Kandy City Center Shopping Mall is 40 km away. Everything about this stay experience was just 10/10. The caretaker Roshan is an amazing person and the host Kristi is always available on call to help us with anything and everything around and about the stay. We loved the view, the food served and the hospitality. They also took our last minute request of arranging a home cooked dinner for us and customised it as per our needs. The dinner & breakfast served was finger licking good. As we couldn't experience the elephant bathing at Pinnawala Elephant orphanage due to the high water levels in the river Roshan even helped us arrange the same at another place where we enjoyed the elephant ride, elephant feeding & bathing activities and also a tour to the spice garden. We definitely recommend this place.

Located in the heart of the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Green Land Guest House offers modern accommodation in Pinnawala and complimentary city tour. Located in front of the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, guests can watch the elephants bathe in the river. The location was perfect to see the elephants. The elephants walked right by the hotel entrance. And the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again!

New Elkaduwa LOFT Hotel offers a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 19 km of Kandy City Center Shopping Mall and 20 km of Sri Dalada Maligawa. The air-conditioned accommodation is 20 km from Kandy Museum. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. This is a Very calm and quite place to stay those who love nature. Manager was a very friendly person make all our request fullfiled.
