We decided to stop in at the Golden Residence to break up our trip to Kandy. The owner was great and very accomodating. Our rooms were very large and spotless and the tour of the hotel gardens was fun. We had to leave early and the had a huge and tasty breakfast spread ready to go for us. We felt very walmly welcomed and like a temporary addition to the family. Ravi met us off the bus in his tuk tuk and his family were there to greet us when we arrived at their home. We found the room very comfortable, loved the balcony space and the fridge! It's a tranquil place within a village so no shops or restaurants, just local life. Rebecca cooked delicious food and Ravi's mum showed us around their garden and all the fruit and medicinal plants. She is a very interesting and lovely lady. If you are considering staying here, don't think any longer!
