Local musicians frequently show up to entertain guests with their Rajasthani folk music. If you wish, please honour these musicians with a small amount of reward. They would be honestly happy for being recognised their talent.

The room was really beautifull, comfortable and clean. It has amazing views, an windows even from the bathroom. La La is an great man, he helped us in everything we needed, and we could learn a lot talking with him about Jaiselmer, history and indian/hindu culture. The team ist really friendly, and always there for you. The dessert Safari that he organize ist really good. Not crowed at all, and you get to sleep in a really special spot in the dunes. Thanks for everything!

I took the superior room so that I would get a view outside the fort. It was well worth it! The pictures of the room online are accurate. What really makes this place special is the people. Everyone who works there is so kind and authentic. They go out if their way to make sure you have the best experience in Jaisalmer.

Cozy and affordable guesthouse in perfect location. We stayed for three nights in a double room for 600rs/night which was clean and comfortable with balcony sitting area. The staff was friendly and helpful, picked us up from the railway station at midnight for free. They also did not ask or push for any Safari tour, which apparently is common in other budget accommodations. The guesthouse has a rooftop restaurant to relax, we did not try the food but had delicious banana lassi and chai there. Drinking water is available to refill bottles. Hot shower was available during day time (probably solar powered), which was ok for us. Only thing to improve would be the mattress which was a little saggy. But still very good value for money, we’d come again!

What a magical place 😍Mala Ki Dhani has been the highlight of our Rajasthan tour. We chose to stay here to experience the desert and village lifestyle, and we found Om Bhati and his family and extended family to be the most happy, friendly and heartwarming hosts. There was fun and laughter everywhere from the children, puppies, and mischievous goats. Harish, Om’s nephew, attended dutifully and with intuitiveness beyond his years to endure our comfort, and did so with good humour and good will. Om went above and beyond that of any other host - collecting us from Jaiselmer, taking us on non-touristic camel rides, and providing us with plenty of water and three meals a day. Papu, his beautiful wife, cooked wonderful simple village fare from in the traditional kitchen, and was very obliging allowing us to sit with her and be part of the experience. We loved our little round hut, but took up the offer of sleeping under the stars for two nights and it was sublime! We were plenty warm enough, under our clean, comfortable, warm quilts and we had no issues with bugs or mosquitoes - although one night the playful puppies wanted to join us on the beds in the early which was delightful and sweet, although we didn’t allow them onto the bedding. Sunsets, stars, moonrise and sunrise viewed from our pillows was an experience we’ll never forget. Most of all, we’ll never forget the feeling of simplicity, warmth and love from this exceptional family. What a magnificent place to stay, may Om and his family have many blessings in return for their kindness 🙏💖
