Our hostess was lovely! It was very easy to communicate with her and she went out of her way to make us comfortable. The Villa was charming and our room was great--especially the views of the lake. The table and chairs outside were wonderful to enjoy a glass of wine and the views. The location was perfect --we could easily walk to restaurants and it was so convenient to the ferry to take day trips to Menagio or Bellagio. I would recommend this Villa if you want to experience old world Italian charm.

This beautiful property is located literally a few steps from Varenna's historical town square and is so convenient to go anywhere. Varenna's two landmark villas and famous lakeside promenade are only a couple of minutes walk from this property and the ferry terminal is just 10 minutes walk along the gorgeous promenade. We stayed in the Blue Room and absolutely loved it. Everything (bed, furniture, TV, shower, toilet, etc.) Is brand-new and the room is so beautifully decorated, airy, and very chic. The room is also so squeaky clean, which is important during the pandemic, and we loved the high ceiling, which made the room feel even larger. Special thanks goes to Diana, who owns this property. She is so kind. She took care of us well and made our stay in Varenna extra special. If we can return to Varenna again, we will go back to Diana's property in a heartbeat. Grazie mille, Diana!!!

The house was quiet and away from all the Lake Como tourist areas which was very peaceful. The house was well equiped, I.e. kitchen utensils etc. Nicole was a great host and was very helpful in providing instructions and recommendations around the area. Everything provided by Tiziano, including a bottle of bubbles! It felt like home, separate bedroom, good sized lounge and kitchen area, fantastic shower and a washing machine. We highly recommend.

We absolute loved the place and the area. Was easy to find and there was parking available. You do need to pay for it during day hours. This was not a problem for us as we were aware that the property does not have parking and we were lucky to get to park close by and walk/ferry everywhere. Varenna is a great little town and we can highly recommend visiting and staying at the Villa Toretta. Thanks for making our stay great!!!JacobusSouth Africa
