Impeccably run, tastefully designed conversion of a small historic building. Was a pleasure to stay there and learn of its family history from the owner. Worth taking them up on their offer to leave a cold supper of fruit, meats and cheeses if you are arriving late - beautifully presented. The breakfast was also the best we have had on our tour of Portugal with produce from the family farm and fresh baked bread. Highly recommended.

Attractive rural location on a working farm with pleasant gardens and good size swimming pool. Very good evening meal and breakfast served in the large, interestingly furnished and decorated main house by pleasant and friendly staff. Our room however was a big disappointment.

The hotel was absolutely incredible. Such a unique space which was very tranquil and allowed for relaxation. The owners did not miss any small details throughout the hotel. The breakfast which was made for us had several items directly from their farm. The food was delicious and was quite large - we didn’t go away hungry! 5 stars!!

Beautiful gem right in the center of old town. Thoughtfully decorated with great attention to details. Former traditional family home renovated into a guesthouse and operated by two sisters. The breakfast was exquisite with natural products from their family’s farm. The inner courtyard is planted with lavender and herbs. A peaceful haven!

This place is heaven on earth, especially the interior. Cherry on the pie is the breakfast which was absolutely the best. All biological products straight from the farm of the host family. Sara, who was our host, was very easy to communicate with and did some effort for the birthday of my partner. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back here to discover Beja district.

We had a lovely stay at Aljana. Charming guesthouse with a lovely area to sit outside with a glass of wine. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with food locally sourced including from the owners family farm. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful family run establishment situated on a working farm. Rooms are clean, simple and comfortable, but what really sets Quinta do Castilo apart is the way guests are welcomed almost as family. Nothing is too much trouble and the home cooked food is glorious and very good value. The view from the property is also worthy of mention.

Beautiful location in a lovely old family barn, with the most friendly and wonderful people. It's really quiet and dark at night. They have a nice restaurant with good food and they made sure we got vegan food when we asked for it. Definitely recommend for a non traditional hotel stay.
