Oak beams, wooden floors, rustic farmhouse feeling. Quirky decor with a large wood burner stove. Plenty of room for two of us to relax in. John was very friendly. He met us on arrival and welcomed us by having the fire lit and the electric blanket switched on. Lovely views from a large window overlooking the gardens.

Lovely old farmhouse with interesting architecture nicely modernised but retaining old architecture's feel. Ella was very helpful given I was due to leave around 4:30 am for a race. Quiet location. Ideal for what I wanted.

Very quiet peaceful location, if you want a taste of simple rural living then this is the place to visit. Loved the swing seat outside and the outdoor seating area. The kids also loved exploring the gardens and reading the short stories about the area provided in the folder in the barn. Tip read the stories first then explore outside.

Lovely location and surroundings. The barn had what we needed for our stay and is very rustic. The owner is superb with communication and provided lots of information about the local area. Also supplied wood etc. for the fire. The pool wasn’t open at this time of year but that would be a fabulous bonus in the summer months. Lots of good walks and peace and quiet. Close to major towns like Oswestry and Wrexham if needed but still very rural, which is what we like.

We loved our stay at Hollies Farm B & B. Great communication from the owners who were able to accommodate our request for an early check in due to attending a wedding. We recieved a warm, friendly welcome. The farmhouse is gorgeous and the views of the countryside are very pretty. Probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! And breakfast was delicious and good portions. We highly recommend the B & B and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My partner and I stayed in Oak Mead for one night. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and seemed newly refurbished. The bed was good. The location is quiet, in a farmhouse in the countryside with nothing but green fields outside the windows.

The location was just right for us visiting family near Chester but was also indeed a very quiet country “hideaway” The cottage was ideal for a couple and very well appointed, spacious and comfortable set in the grounds of a beautiful grade 2 listed farmhouse with a fascinating history.Caroline and Rob and their daughter Phoebe were delightful and most welcoming and hospitable. It proved a really most pleasant stay.
