I really enjoyed my stay at Sugar Boat. The room was well-designed, spotless and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great and there were some extra features like a kettle, a selection of teas, ground coffee, and two freshly baked shortbread cookies. I had dinner at their bistro with their soup of the day (red cabbage with sour cream), accompanied by crispy and buttery sourdough bread. At breakfast, I wanted to try their porridge and it was scrumptious. The quality of each ingredient was high, portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable. The staff were kind and easy-going. I definetely recommend Sugar Boat and hope to return soon.

If you are thinking of staying just book it,you won't be disappointed! Very friendly staff and breakfast excellent.

Housed in a building dating from the 19th century, this bed and breakfast is 900 yards from the Springbank Whisky Distillery and less than a mile from Glen Scotia Distillery. I won't be original when I say that everything was fantastic. But it was exactly like that. Good and easy to find location, really clean rooms, tasty breakfast.

We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Sue and John were interesting and informative about the area. This B&B is about a 12 minute drive from Inverary village, which is where we went for dinner. Thank you for a lovely stay!
