We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

We liked everything! Craigneuk was immaculate, the rooms spacious and beautiful, and the hosts David and Amanda very welcoming. They'd thought of everything, even giving us a lovely sample of their home bakes - delicious! And the view from Craigneuk is just stunning. We could have sat for hours just looking at the ever-changing views from the comfort of the large window seat. The home is in a great location, with beaches very close by and lots to see and do in the area. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Bedrooms are big, and beds are really comfortable, bonus ensuite in master, big bathroom upstairs and WC downstairs, everything you need is there, big dining table for family meals and a garden that the kids could get out to play in while we were in the property. Parking in the drive way was also a big bonus. Host was so helpful and on hand when I needed to get InTouch about anything and to extend our stay. The room had two large beds so plenty of space. We travelled in winter so the main building of the hotel was closed, as was the restaurant and anything else they usually offer. The hotel was very upfront about this and ensured we were aware prior to confirming our stay. 10-15 minute walk into the main town centre (with a child so probably quicker than that normally).

The general ambience was very family friendly and our grandchildren stepped out of the door and straight into the playpark. It was a very carefree and relaxing break.
