The staff were amazing, catering to every need. The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

TAOYA Akiu er staðsett í Sendai og býður upp á 4 stjörnu gistirými með baði undir berum himni. Þetta ryokan-hótel býður upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði og sólarhringsmóttöku. As perfect as you can make it for a hotel! Truely amazing place, amazing location!!

Ryokusuitei er staðsett á hæð og státar af stórkostlegu skógarútsýni, stórum varmaböðum innan- og utandyra og heilsulind sem býður upp á snyrtimeðferðir og nudd. Very convenient as the ryokan has a bus service to and from Sendai station directly, and also has an on-call service to send and pick up from the main bus terminal in Akiu.

Rantei státar af hveraböðum sem eru opin allan sólarhringinn, sundlaug á sumrin og skapandi matargerð sem unnin er af verðlaunakokki. The overall experience is excellent. The quilt is very comfortable for sleeping. The Yōkan for greeting snacks is very good. We have a very good experience to stay here.

Akiu Fuga er gististaður með bar í Sendai, 38 km frá Shiogama-helgiskríninu, 17 km frá Sakuraoka Daijingu og 17 km frá Sendai-alþjóðamiðstöðinni. This is the perfect onsen town to be in if you are near Sendai. We had a great stay in the Japanese western room with a private bath. It was amazing! We had a great view of the river and the bath was so relaxing. I love that we had the choice of sleeping on a western bed or laying out the Japanese mattress. We had the full board option which inlcudes dinner and breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious. They had a set menu and explained each course (they even tried to explain it in their best English). We so highly appreciated their efforts. There is a bar with a free welcome drink, and some very unique drinks to try. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience the traditional onsen with more privacy. Also this little onsen town is the cutest! They have a short trail along the streams which is very accessible and more of a leisurely walk. There are some cute cafes in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend checking this area out. If you are here in Spring there are some beautiful cherry blossom spots. Another pro is that there is an express bus near Sendai station to this area. It's about a 40 minute ride.
