Set in Nishijin, Villa Front Kyoto Seimei ヴィラフロント京都晴明 offers accommodation with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. A microwave and kettle are also featured. The room was amazing. Very close with the bus stop and Family Mart. The electric was completely. I recommend this place for everyone visiting.

The room was huge and the personal onsen was very relaxing after walking all day. It is about 10 minutes away from the subway and there are many temples and shrines near by. Staff was amazing and always available for help.

Located in Kyoto, 1.1 km from Nijo Castle and 1.7 km from the centre, Rinn Shiki Juraku provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

Ideally located in the centre of Kyoto, Kokonoe Machiya offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Nicely renovated japanese house in the old part of town, about 10 minutes from the imperial palace. Toni and his wife are lovely hosts, it felt like we were guests in their home. The shared facilities are clean and good. We stayed in a smart room were everything was connected, very convenient! Warmly recommend.

In a prime location in Kyoto, Hostel Sui Kyoto provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. The owner, Masa-san, was an incredible host. He gave us some amazing food and onsen recommendations that turned to all be winners. He was an absolute joy to speak to. The rooms were spotless and had a very sleek and modern but also timeless design. We stayed in the triple room with a double and bunk bed. It had a small fridge and enough space. The bathrooms are also very clean and there are enough that it is not crowded. The lounge is cosy and has all you need to cook and you can get ramen or drinks here for 100 - 200 yen. There are tons of free ammenities like coffee, tea, shampoo and body wash and you can even do your laundry for free. For the very low price we paid, this is arguably the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Highly recommended, if I ever come back to Kyoto I am staying here again, no doubt about it.

I loved the traditional Japanese home with tatami mats and futon beds. Waking up to a beautiful Japanese garden was very refreshing too. The host was very welcoming. My husband and I also enjoyed the breakfast she cooked for us everyday and she agreed to do our laundry for us too only the next day we arrived which was very nice of her. The A/C worked perfectly and was great for hot summer days. We are truly impressed with Japanese hospitality and we would love to stay there again in our next visit to Kyoto.
