We enjoyed the location - 20 minute train ride from centre of Kyoto, walking distance to the Bamboo Forest and surrounds. We best liked that we had the town to ourselves before and after day-trippers.

Hotel Arashiyama sijaitsee Kiotossa 1,3 km:n päässä Arashiyaman bambumetsiköstä ja 3,4 km:n päässä Otagi Nenbutsu-jin temppeliltä. We love the view of the river from our room and the sound of the river is really soothing. Excellent location as it is off the crowded tourist area, but close enough to visit the Bamboo Forest very early in the morning. Good breakfast.

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away. Booked the room with beds instead of futons, really nice and big room! Breakfast and dinner was amazing, a whole experience! And staff was so nice!
