The wine offering in the afternoon was fun. Breakfast was nice. I like having breakfast at the hotel. We had a room with a bedroom and separate seating area which we really liked. We were able to rest in the afternoon without having to just sit on the bed.

Location was great! Grounds were very nice. Having the balcony on the water was very nice. Proximity to pier 39 was a plus. Just a short walk for a drink in the evening or coffee in the morning. I usually do not use provided shampoo/ conditioner but needed to this trip. It was a very nice pleasant smelling brand.

We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Friendly town- many good food choices- excellent fresh seafood available. If you like to visit a brewery this town is for you as well... Also, fun ride to the top of the town to visit the Column... Astoria Brewery, Rogue, Fort George and Reach Breach some of our favorite stops.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was next to the river with a walking path.Every morning and evening we watched the ships come in and viewed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.Downtown Astoria was easy to walk and offered many shops and places to eat.Just a beautiful old town with stunning views.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

    The hotel location was super.

The hotel location was super. We were within walking distance of a few restaurants. We ate at the Bridgewater Bay Bistro only a couple of minutes walk. The fresh caught halibut was wonderfully tasty. We also ate at a local Mexican restaurant, El Tiapatio, (10-minute walk) from hotel. The restaurant was colorful and food and drinks were great. Many locals were also dining there. The riverwalk is directly in front of the hotel. There is some construction on it, so it was not as accessible as it might have been. The Trolley is running only from 1-4 pm. Museums are a 30-35 minute walk from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Heritage Museum with history of Astoria.

This great room with a balcony overlooking the docks was just a delight. There are some dated pieces, but in a charming, whimsical way. We loved the peaceful sea breezes and the wifi was good enough for me to attend an online class with video streaming. The hotel had bikes available for rental (though they were required back by dark, so we didn't go far) and is adjacent to a lovely walking path that goes into the downtown. We especially appreciated the fridge in the room!

I love the Norblad Hotel. It's got a cozy ambiance in the centre of Astoria: you can walk to everything! For this trip I stayed in the King Suite, and it has all the comforts you'd expect, with a corner view of the city: huge windows! The private bathroom is a huge perk, with a very nice shower and sink. There was a little fridge in the suite, and we borrowed a record player for the weekend from the front desk. I highly recommend this to everyone!

Location right on the water with sea lions just outside your room if you have a room facing the water. choice of different types of rooms. nice bar. good food. very friendly staff. walking distance to Astoria brewing where I had the best fish tacos I have ever had. French press coffee in the room. fireplace in the room. noise machine beside the bed. all surprising details.

The room we had was in an old Victorian home turned into a “hotel room”. Our Rome was on the south side and so we did not have a view of downtown Astoria or the Columbia River. There was no air conditioning, one window did open so we could get some air. The second night the temp outside stayed warm, so there was no cooling down. Everything worked and was clean.

Such a lovely, welcoming space! Parker Landing was the perfect place for a getaway in Astoria. We were in Stateroom #2. The property is right on the water and we loved waking up to the views. Comfortable living areas, quiet surroundings, modern appliances, and well equipped kitchen. The hosts were responsive to questions and provided a truly relaxing retreat.
