Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The rooms are cleaned every day. Everything is clean. I was chilly to sleep under one blanket, the reception immediately solved my problem. Thank you. The breakfasts in the hotel are divine. Delicious and hearty. I will definitely come back again.

Rome is amazing, make sure you take comfy shoes as it is all walkable. We have older children (teenagers) and they really enjoyed it too. Definitely try and book tickets for anything you want to see before you go as they can be expensive to source once you are there.

I loved the opportunity to explore on the Hop on Hop Off...
I loved the opportunity to explore on the Hop on Hop Off buses, and capture moments on camera, and then determine places where I would stop off and explore by walking in the neighbourhood. There was a variety of things to do and see, and I thoroughly enjoyed the history, and seeing it in real life.
It was easy to walk around Rome, especially in comfortable shoes as the cobblestones could create havoc with heels! The weather in April was delightful, and did not take too much acclimatising. The river was a fabulous focus in photographs as were the buildings and ruins right around the city.
There are many must do attractions - so choose which you wish to tour officially, and which you are fine to view from the outside.
There are many water sources around the city, and the water is safe to drink, and tastes good too. There are many opportunities to feast around the restaurant, with traditional Italian having been my choice throughout - and the food was well prepared, presented and fairly reasonable in price.

So many things to see.
So many things to see. However, lots of unsavoury people around. Very busy and recommend booking early slots to visit sights. Husband had phone taken out of buttoned pocket on underground - please try to avoid using it! Also be aware on buses, although we had no issues using them. It is worth a visit. Be safe!

Rome is a great short break location, lots of sights, masses of churches, loads of restaurants and bars/cafes/gelatos. Weather is amazing, people are very friendly and lovely.
The only major downside is that there are no public toilets, (or none that we saw and we went to virtually every sight you could go to) thousands of people but no toilets, you have to use the restaurants and bars which can sometime be awkward if you are not purchasing anything from there.
Major tourist attractions are the worst, especially if you are on a guided tour which works to time schedules. This was a major problem for us on the Collisseum tour as we started in the museum side which only had one female toilet for hundreds of queueing women, besides the small cafe' at the beginning. The min collisseum are was better with more toilets but they do not cater well for disabilities. Vatican was better. more toilets but still a very long queue.

Rome is a must see!
Rome is a must see! Would recommend to have following in mind:
- not in summer - definitely to hot in the city!
- book around times in which are no big christian events take place (easter, christmas etc.)
- book Vatican, Colosseum, Forum Romanum in advance with a guide! Worth the prices!
The building although found in the old city of Rome, was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and clean and we were also offered water which we could refill from the hotel itself - who doesn’t love a sustainable act? The best part was the breakfast - so delicious and mouthwatering, I’ve never tasted such good breakfast at a hotel in Italy! The food was so genuine and fresh - pure delicacies of Rome! Finally, Erica the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming on our arrival and departure.
Probably one of my best stays in europe and particularly in Italy for that range of price. Staff was very kind, helpful and humble. The room was very clean with all equipments. no noise from the streets since the window is toward the garden. very close to the metro and Roma Termini. and I need to mention while the breakfast was not on the list of benefits I had access to the coffee and light breakfast and also the kitchen tools. I would surely remember this hotel for later when I visit Rome.
Beautiful spacious room, so nice to come back to the room after spending the day exploring the city. The bed is also very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us ideas what to do, transport to take etc. The breakfast was excellent! With staff clearing your plate and cutlery and giving you new ones after each helping.
Also the hotel is just minutes away from Rome Termini so it is easy to go take a bus or train to everywhere that you want to visit in Rome and Italy!
Really lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Everything was immaculately clean, the room was spacious and there were nice products in the bathroom. There is a small fridge with a few mini bar items. The staff were really helpful in explaining the best places to visit in Rome; and where not to go after dark! I was also able to leave my luggage there both before and after my stay to fit in with travel plans. Highly recommended!
This was our second stay at Hotel Trastevere within a 10-day period. (We started and ended our trip to Italy in Rome, with visits elsewhere in the middle.) Once again, we greatly enjoyed the location, the friendly and helpful staff, and the daily breakfast. Although it probably doesn't have all the amenities that some larger or more expensive hotels do, it had almost a family atmosphere, and we felt very much at home.
Great stay in this hotel in Rome City, perfect location for exploring. Rooms are very large for Italy and bathrooms are huge and very modern. The breakfast was enjoyable they had bacon eggs sausage for my husband and catered for vegetarian like myself, with alternative milks available including green tea. The service at breakfast and in bar were excellent. Would have no difficulty recommending this hotel.
I stayed here only for a night to reach the airport quickly in the morning. Termini station is only a 3-minute walk away and you can easily travel somewhere else in Italy or go to Fiumicino airport.
Besides the bathroom that had a really bad smell, the place felt quite clean.
This is place is a decent option only for a short stay. I wouldn’t recommend this for a vacation in Rome.
The staff is amazing and very helpful. It is important to note that most hotels in Italy do not provide irons in their rooms for safety reasons. They may be able to accommodate you using an iron in a private room, or they may be able to get it serviced at a local laundromat. The staff will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, no matter what.
Flawless location right in the heart of Rome with all the main sites essentially equidistant from the hotel. The room was very quiet for being in such a lively area as well which was great. Very comfortable bed as well which was a great bonus since the other stays we had in Italy tended to have much firmer / uncomfortable beds.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. It is close to Termini Station and an easy walk to many attractions. The staff here is great. They are the friendliest we have met here in Italy. The breakfast buffet cannot be beat. I plan on coming to Rome next year and will stay here again! This hotel is a true gem!
The hotel is fabulous. The location is incredible- in front of the most beautiful monument in Italy- the Pantheon. It is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. I always return to this hotel whenever I am in Rome.
I have been to Rome for work and visit few times. This is one of the best Hotel I stayed in terms of location and access.
We recommended to our collogues and partner company in Italy to suggest this Hotel for any booking.
Staff team is so supportive.
All the best.

That was our first stay in Italy Rome. The hotel and staff was unreal welcome, we felt like we are at home, very comfortable and No Pressure, the location was the best - right in the middle from everything, walking distance ( About 15-20 min) to any Rome sights. Highly recommended.
Fabulous hotel in great position in Rome. The most comfortable beds in Italy. No I am not kidding!! Great roof top bar/ breakfast area. Fabulous breakfast. What else, great shower too and product!! What more could you ask for. It's a perfect holiday right here!!
The rooms were lovely and big for Rome, and the hotel was extremely clean. Also, unusually for Italy, we found the bed really comfortable. The elevator was fully functional which was great because we were travelling with a baby. A good breakfast spread as well.
This place was great. They were helpful and friendly. The breakfast for being a small mom & pop hotel was great - same every day, but lovey. The bed is comfortable, which is hard to find in Italy, as they’re all VERY firm. It’s quiet and you don’t hear others.
We booked many hotels on our vacation across Italy. None came close to Domus Romantica. Most comfortable bed, most romantic ambiance, most elegant design, and most communicative and accommodating staff hands down.
The location was exceptional. Nice place. Very authentic to Italy which was a plus for us. Understand it is not a hotel but a residence. You take care of yourself. It was perfect.
