Beyond the usual amenaties at a 5 star hotel like great beds, beautiful room, we loved the attention to detail such as: chocolate welcome gift, daily water, light dimmer in the bathroom so it can be soothing at night (my own bugbear), a heated mirror in the bathroom that gave a small clear square after showering. we chose a balcony room facing the lake, on the second floor. stunning views!

Within a 10-minute walk you can reach the shopping district, the lake-front promenade and the main museums. I am so happy to have found this hotel. It’s an absolute treasure, The location is great, just a stones throw from the high street, yet it has peace and privacy, as it’s nestled in the heart of the old town on a magical cobblestone street. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, with authentic suits of armour and ancient candlestick chandeliers. Their fondue is phenomenal. The room (prestige suite) was beautifully appointed, and very spacious. The rain head shower was great. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the soundproofing, there was no noise whatsoever. David and staff were fantastic, and very accommodating, they really went above and beyond during our stay. This is now my hotel of choice in Geneva.

Geneva’s centre is a 15-minute walk away. The property is secluded and was very convenient to buses, trams, and where I had to go for work. Opened in March 2014, Lake Geneva Hotel in Versoix is set on the lake shore and features a restaurant serving traditional and seasonal cuisine, as well as free WiFi access and rooms with an air cooling system. The location was perfect right next to train station which made getting around so easy. The hotel also provided a free travel pass for the time we were there which was excellent as we could use all mode of transport to move around
