Piccolo Hotel memiliki lokasi yang tenang, 8 menit berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Kereta Locarno dan pusat kota. Most friendly personal, the cutest hotel ever - every floor in different style, very warm and cosy. The location is not in the very centre but there is a bus station 50m from the hotel with direct connection to the centre. Room was cosy, very good breakfast. Everything in this hotel is very personal. The owner will talk to you at the breakfast, the plates and cups are like they've been owned by the owners grandmother ... It's more like coming to one's home rather than to a hotel. I must say one of my most - if not the most pleasant stay ever!

Bekas residence bangsawan yang dibangun pada abad ke-18, Hotel Tamaro terletak tepat di tepi Danau Maggiore di pusat Ascona. Exceptional views straight to Lago Maggiore. Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. location was exceelent, very friendly staff, the swimming pool was a great extra! very clean and quiet with nice common areas

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Everything is more than perfect, it’s by far more than a 3 star hotel.

Rooms spacious enough if you don't spend the whole day there. Bathroom clean and spacious. Breakfast with everything you need the start of the day. Crew very polite, attentive. Jacuzzi was not working because it was November already, could imagine this to be a perfect addition to our stay. We had 2 excellent days in Lugano. Thank you Walter Au Lac. Bottom line: I've read the reviews here complaining about the street noise: It's a hotel at a lake with a street on a lake shore. What do you expect, a road closure for the whole night? Some complain about small choice for breakfast? Seriously?
