Meadowmere Resort, hotel in York

Meadowmere Resort features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and restaurant in Ogunquit. Featuring a bar, this 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom.

I liked that they had both indoor and out door hot tubs and that they were separate from the pool. It was nice to luxuriate in the spa tub with out the louder activities from the pool nearby. It was nice that they had a restaurant on site. They also had amenities like a small game room and theater, which are definitely something fun to do on the property if you're done sight seeing for the day but still want something fun to get up to. The beds were really comfortable. I opted for a jacuzzi sweet and it didn’t disappoint. It was a rather modern tub with room for two if your feeling a bit romantic, and the shower in the bathroom was also very spacious. The fridge actually worked as apposed to some mini fridges that keep food tepid as best. We put a bottle of sparkling grape juice in there and it was well chilled when we finally drank it

Its on the ocean but we didn't find much to do other than visiting the light house and eating on the water. Its close to several golf courses, that's why I was there. We noticed a lot of families with small kids so the Zoo was probably a draw. We found a couple of restaurants on the water and we were able to sit outside and enjoy sea air. There are some beautiful homes along the water. The down town is quaint.

On good weather days it can get crowded so arrive early to beach areas. Also, it is paid parking. Be sure to check out Short Sands Beach as well for a quaint downtown area with recreation. There’s a park/viewing area at Nubble Light and a great restaurant and ice cream stands. If you are looking for a quiet, family friendly New England coastal getaway, York is a great fit.

It's not a very large place but it does have some lovely shops, a good food store (Hannigans) some lovely walks around the bay and York beach area, although parking by the beach can be a bit of a problem. The York museum of history was well worth a visit, check opening times first & you pay a small charge. There is also a lovely coastal drive to visit the Nubble lighthouse .

York Best Western was an easy, clean facility with a great pool the staff was very helpful, The area is amazing and near but not really walking distance. There are many and varied things to do and see a very short distance and the nearby beaches are spectacular

    Views were great.

Views were great. Beaches were nice, but when tides is in you can’t sit on the beach. Check times when it is low tide. Food was good, quiet and relaxing outside of town. If you have young kids, staying in town, by short sands beach may be better. A lot of shops and fun things to do in town. Must go to the Nubble Light House beautiful spot for the whole family to enjoy and stop at Dunne’s Ice Cream after for a treat for the whole family. Also, worth waking up early to watch the sunrise on the ocean. Nice place to enjoy with family or just relax with your significant other. For dining we went to the Lobster Cove and the Blues Inn very delicious food. Also, must go to Golden Rod for taffy the make it on site and the kids can watch them make it through the windows.

We have been going to York area for a long time now mostly during off season. Love the choice of restaurants, food for all tastes. They have great beaches to walk on and nature areas. In season is a bit hectic for us we prefer less hustle and bustle so perfect for a nice getaway☺.

Another example of an overpriced hotel with a screwy two-wing layout and staff not with it enough to know the layout either. It's long, with non-ADA doors separating the sections. In taking the receptionist's directions, no, we could not easily access another entrance to our floor without walking the entire length of our wing. The only ice or beverage machines were in the lobby. On the plus side, aside from the ubiquitous powdered scrambled eggs, the breakfast was decent. Coffee machine in the lobby was great and on 24 hours.

This is a new place in a historic house in York Maine. The character of the main house has been preserved and there are several newly furnished, comfortable rooms off the main house. Our room was quite spacious with a good amount of natural light. We enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep and woke to birds chirping in the morning. The grounds surrounding Albracca were lovely and guests were free to explore them. We also enjoyed a "continental" breakfast that was quite hardy. Our host was friendly and attentive and helpful.

Fantastic Place and the Location is AMAZING! Period. This is a Family run business. cozy and 30 seconds from the water. Incredible. We had all we needed and access to hikes, history, beauty, and ICE CREAM! I loved Cedar and her family. They were attentive and helpful. I felt cared for and my daughter and I were teary when we left, we loved it all so much. And, my suggestion is to stay here and then drive to Ogunquit and surrounding places. This town is welcoming and comfortable. We give 150%! #Fantasticperiod

There is no question this is one of the best views in Maine. You look out onto the Nubble lighthouse. The grounds and pool are lovely. The suite was large and gorgeous with a balcony looking out on the ocean. It’s located out of downtown which we liked. It has smart TVs! Almost right across the street is a very popular ice cream stand.

When we arrived in York, it was dark already and it took us a bit time to find our way to the place. But when we enter, Dolly was there with her big smile face that out our tiredness of travel away immediately. Also her carefully planed breakfast was very nice! We will definitely come back to this lovely home hotel.

It was really comfy. It ensured us a place where we could relax, cook for ourselves if we wanted (and did!). It felt like home, not a typical hotel room. My wife and I felt wonderful. I expect us to return in the future.
