The guy at the breakfast station was sooo nice! And breakfast was great as well - lots to choose between. The staff was in general really nice - we requested a room with view of the courtyard due to the construction, which a male receptionist noticed and thoroughly took care of! Room was classical american beige design, which was fine! Cheap as well

Motel 6 is Motel 6, one's expectations need to match reality! We needed a clean and convenient place to stay while visiting my mom, and this is what we got. No one goes to a Motel 6 for the atmosphere or the facilities! This one is easy walking distance to the beach and to a decent breakfast cafe, and was a 5-minute drive to where my mom lives. The guy in charge is perfectly nice, and we were fine with our stay.

The coffee and smores on the fire, as well as the homemade cookies in the morning, were a great additional touch. We loved sitting around the fire in the evening.

I normally do not write reviews however this hotel is disgusting. The staff upon check in were rude and less than hospitable. The room smelled heavily of mold and dog urine. The bathroom sink and tub had rust rings around the basin. The bathroom walls were filthy with black dirt marks from previous guests including the front door to the room. Upon addressing the concerns with the front desk staff, they did not seem to care and advised me to contact the third party booking website for any assistance. There are plenty of affordable hotels in the area that offer better accommodations than this hotel, please stay away.

Ventura is one of the first beach towns you can stay in as you drive north from Los Angeles. Nice pier and harbor area and it competes with Oxnard just to the North as an easy weekend get away from Los Angeles.

Clean and commfortable place to stay if all you need is a basic lodging with some kitchen facilities. Not in a very good location, and the kitchen was very poorly stocked, but it served our purpose as an relatively inexpensive place to stay while visiting Channel Islands National Park.

I like Ventura.
I like Ventura. We usually stop in Oxnard for food but this was our fist time staying the night in Ventura. It is more affordable than Ojai and Santa Barbara. I would visit with my family again. The Beach House restaurant on the pier was great too.

Although the city is bisected by a busy freeway and a rail line, it's a great place to shop, walk along the beach, and as a more reasonably priced place to stay for visits to Santa Barbara and Ojai.

We went for the International Heirloom Exposition.
We went for the International Heirloom Exposition. It was fantastic!!! If you like to garden, I highly recommend it. Then we got to experience a little bit of Ventura. Their downtown/midtown gets a little crazy for us, but we found a ton of other eating options. I highly recommend Fresh Grill Ventura @ Main St & S. Santa Rosa St. Their breakfast bowl is the best!!! Fresh veggies and so tasty.
We have been faithful customers of Booking.com, for many years. This year we had at least 10 reservations with them in november for our yearly californian thanksgiving trip. Unfortunately we were bounced off for one reservation by the hotel, in Yucca Valley, without legitimate reason, and left one night out in the cold.
Booking.com has totally disregarded our complaint and proclaimed their irresponsibility. Consequently we shall no longer share our experiences at other facilities, as we gladly did in the past.
I have been travelling for 3 weeks on a motorcycle so I have stayed at around 15 hotels so far. This one was by far the worst, the room has obviously had homeless and druggies staying in it, there was burn marks on the filthy sink, no coffee machine provided, the room was desperately in need of repair, it was dirty. Outside during the night I could hear voices and activity going on. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, I have had far better rooms for a third of the price of this place.
Since Covid-19 broke out they’re using this location to house the homeless of Ventura. Kudos to them for helping out, but that wasn’t advertised. Did not feel safe at the property. The staff was rude and wouldn’t let us cancel our reservation. They did let us change our reservation from 4 days down to 1. So we were stuck paying $200 instead of the $1100. We paid and promptly left and booked another hotel.
The location was perfect. 10 minutes from the Ventura Harbor Village where we took transportation to the Channel Islands. There are different restaurants along Victoria which is the street the Hotel is located which make it convenient for when hunger calls. We went to a Pub when we arrived which was located 4 minutes away on Victoria.
Location is good, close to restaurants beach etc, no breakfast only take out bag because of Covid, and other amenities not available because of Covid, and they were doing some remodel or work on hotel, I got a room with balcony which was ok but would have rather had balcony on the beach side, I was very happy with my stay overall
this is a lovely hotel right on the sea front. staff were very accommodating- looking by after my bags and allowing me early check-in. the sheets were super soft. the bed was really comfy. great shower and really nice toiletries. the room was really clean & had a great view of the beach.
The location is great! You're within 2-3 minutes walking distance of the beach, as well as downtown Ventura. It's also just off of the freeway, which made visiting other regional destinations super easy!
Very convenient location in the downtown. Quiet place. There is a cafe and a small shop nearby. The hotel is not new, but it was clean enough, there is a coffee maker, coffee.
The room was large and very clean. The location for going to the Ventura Harbor was great. It was a good deal compared to the expensive hotels closer to the harbor.
The location of the hotel is convenient to restaurants within walking distance and also to the State Beach. There is easy access to grocery shopping and downtown.
The room, breakfast, and overall experience with all the staff made a pleasurable stay.
I'll be a regular there when in Ventura Ca next time.
Thanks. Linda M.
