Quiet college town. Great breakfast places but ow on restaurants. Lots of breweries if that your mojo. Most of the breweries served food as well. Bangor however is close by and is flush with choices of places to eat.

University Inn was a great place to stay after arriving in Bangor. The staff was welcoming and room was clean and nice. There was wine and cheese in the lobby when we arrived around 6pm so that was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was good for grab-n-go type, better than in the other 6 hotels we stayed at. The location is good. There is an outside pool. Half of the rooms have the river view and direct access to the pool and to a tiny beautiful park with gazebo. The other half of the rooms face the parking lot but we got the first floor room on the river side and enjoyed it greatly. Helpful staff, very clean room with the fridge, microwave and coffee machine, in other words, everything that you may need for a short (or long) break on the road.
Breakfast was really good excellent. The bed was comfy but I was put in a non renovated part.I thought I would of had the room I paid for on the web s I re but never g o t that room but still was happy they came out with a wheel chair to help me get to my room after I had surgery. Only thing I was upset with the night clerk she couldn't get me a extra pillow I was so in pain couldn't sleep till 5am.i was upset with her. I've never had this issue with any other hotels. That upsetted me a lot
Shame on her.
We have stayed here before and love the location. I truly appreciated that we were on the first floor this stay but I do enjoy the view on the pool side of the hotel. Being on the parking lot first floor made it much easier to get all our gear into the room using the sliding door.
Clean property with modern facilities. The views were as described and it is located in residential neighborhood, walkable to local shops and places to eat and drink. No noise contamination from the restaurants and breweries, the latter of which are a plenty in Orono.
Spacious rooms, not too far from Acadia National Park, very affordable... What's not to like? There's a swimming pool available, and the hotel is overlooking the river.
Super friendly and welcoming staff
Clean and cozy room
Nice location
Willing to revisit whenever I have a chance to come to the Acadia area
Highly recommend!!
