It was fine—just needed a last minute room as my aunt was hospitalized up in Eugene the day of and was thankful to find one here.
The OU/OSU game weekend made it hard to find a room and I paid a premium rate for the room.

Steve and Vera made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They went out of their way to provide everything I needed whilst letting me enjoy my stay in my own way. As a bonus, they are extremely interesting people and were more than happy to chat as much as I was.

Room above--- continual activity until after 3 AM
Suspected tweakers ( drug activity) constant walking, dropping items on the floor etc. A multitude of shady looking occupants and beater cars. Establishment looks exceedingly well from it's outside appearance. There was no hot water @ 11 AM the following day after checking in. Was told the establishments laundry was the reason.
They would not comp me after stating I would extent one day but was denied. Basically they turned down a revenue producing night because of the denial. Poor management decision.

Homely and friendly. Opposite of a corporate hotel.
Homely and friendly. Opposite of a corporate hotel. Magnificent building, designed by owners. Beautiful lake. Lovely scenery. Not much else around Cottage Grove town, so good for couples, probably bit quiet for families.

This place is truly a Gem hidden in the trees.
This place is truly a Gem hidden in the trees. I am currently traveling with my wife and two dogs so you can imagine that finding a good pet friendly hotel is difficult. I found this place on Google maps and was drawn in by the pictures alone. We had just come from a different pet friendly hotel that charged us a very high price for both are dogs to stay the night so we were expecting to empty wallet again. I was very surprised to learn that the pet fee was extremely cheap. Once we got into our room we found a dog blankets, waste disposal bags, dog treats, and a small fenced in backyard area so you can let the dogs do their business without having to put their harnesses on an walk around the building. My dogs are very important to me and the fact that this place was so accommodating to them made my stay unforgettable. While walking around the property I saw a garden area with a wide variety of plants and learned that you could have a small wedding in this area. In summary I would recommend staying here over any other hotel

Loved the covered bridges and neat tiny downtown historic...
Loved the covered bridges and neat tiny downtown historic area! We ate at Ax and Fiddle...so good! YUMMY! I had the Mac and cheese with asparagus and a bit spicy breaded cauliflower. Reasonable prices. Very easy to get around town and over to the Lake, nice drive!
After exiting the freeway, we followed the directions which put us on a remote gravel road. As we rounded the last corner, the villa came into view and we were awestruck! The building is beautiful and the surrounding area is majestic. We walked around the lake in the evening and again the next morning. We hiked through the nearby forest, picking blackberries along the way. So peaceful.
The owners and staff were very welcoming and spent time answering our questions about the villa and surroundings.
Breakfast on a scale of1-5. A 1! Breakfast room too small. Food: scrambled eggs cold. Out of link sausages (refilled after we were nearly finished) bacon sliced so thin it was practically transparent. Toast was decent.
The room: AC to noisy...Bathroom too small, fan too loud. Bed was OK. TV volume control too low mostly due to kids in the hallway.
Little kids playing tag in the hallways way past their bed times and well into ours.
The location is great! Right in the middle of cottage grove and just a couple minutes from the historic downtown. It’s also right next to several highways, so it’s an excellent spot for excursions out of town. Despite what other reviews said, the property had wifi that worked without any issues whatsoever. The owner is super friendly and very accommodating.
gardens - relaxing walking around. NO other stay at other hotels offers something so cool. kids can run and play and get outside. i just discovered Village Green this year and have stayed there 3X already - we drove an extra 150 miles to stay two nights. if you have kids and dogs perfect!
Very quiet - wonderful place to unplug and enjoy the beauty of the lake, gardens and surroundings. I will come back and I highly recommend this villa- my stay was a short one but next time I will spend more time here. The Villa is about 5 + miles from downtown Cottage Grove.
The gardens at the Village Green were gorgeous- it was so much fun to step out the back of the hotel room and sit in a secluded haven full of greenery, flowers, birds, and even snails! The staff were also super kind and helpful.
Cottage Grove Inn is an older motel that has been fixed up to be really nice. Clean, comfortable, modern bedding and amenities. Very roomy and comfy. Nice breakfast room with good breakfast choices.
The location was nice with a lot of fast food options nearby. The staff were nice, the bed very comfy, and the breakfast was good. Nice that they allow pets for a small fee.
The staff were so welcoming & helpful. While the exterior of the buildings are ho-hum, the interior of hotel & inside our room was super clean & well maintained!
