The setting is so lovely. The short walk through lush jungle foliage to the pool really makes you feel like you are completely isolated, but you are not.
The rooms were super comfortable, and included all of the necessary amenities, and so much more.

This is an extremely charming hotel and the staff are warm and friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is superb. The bed is excellent.
The hotel is situated in a very cool area of tourist hotels and restaurants. One could not ask for a nicer, safer area. I would say the room (and the hotel) is akin to a grand, permanent tent. It is 'open air' to the extent that the hotel itself is open - all hallways, etc. - to the outside air (not to people having access or walking through). While only the fan on the A/C unit in my room worked, that didn't matter because there is a permanently open screened area in the bathroom and bedroom and the air can just flow through - so A/C wouldn't matter much anyway. No heat function. There is also a large screened window that may be opened or closed. All the fresh air you could want!
The hotel and room decor are fresh, clean, attractive, very pleasant in every sense. The room is quite small, but sufficient for one person. The bathroom is very adequate and not cramped. Shower is hot - though shower head really needs replacement. The bottom floor is the hotel reception in one corner and the rest of the front part is a restaurant which continues to the outside - not part of the hotel. Rooms are on another part of the ground floor and on the 2nd and 3rd floors mostly.
If you like a relaxed feel, fresh open air, and a pleasant, relaxed, walkable area and don't mind a small room - you will probably love this place. I just prefer 'closed' air where humidity can be controlled along with temperature and more 'standard' hotel infrastructure.

Enjoyed visiting the ruins at Palenque, well worth seeing as they were in more of a tropical setting than some of the ruins we visited around Mexico City and it is still permitted to climb up to the top of some of the ruins. While visiting the ruins it was also possible to take a short jungle walk back down to the entrance. The town of Palenque itself was quite pretty with plenty of places to eat and the people were very friendly and helpful. We also took a trip out to Misal Ha and Agua Azul waterfalls which were interesting and fun as it is possible to swim in these areas.

I didn’t spend much time in the town, I was there for the ruins. Definitely take the tour though the jungle to see the ruins that are still covered with trees. Climb through the ancient Mayan Aqua duct, see the monkeys and try eating some termites. The whole experience in the jungle adds immensely to the site.
My guide was Victor, he speaks Spanish and English, very knowledgeable, well worth the money.

We stayed one night in town to visit the ruins
- had a good coffee
- nice evening walk in the town
- farmacies availeble
The ruins of Palenque was beautifull, due to construction/care-taking we could nog visist al the temples. I was sick at the time, but there were enough toilets on inside and outside the domain.
There is a second part more into the jungle where you can see more wild animals but my body was not up for that. As far as we could understand it does take a tour to do this second part.

You can spend weeks in that region easily, because there are too many beautiful things to visit and do. Waterfalls, Maya ruins, hours and hours of hiking in the jungle is all possible and must do. Palenque and Chiapas state offers lifetime adventures. Can rental is essential as the public transport is not really safe for tourists.

The big attraction for tourists to go to Palenque are the Mayan ruins nearby. The ruins are not that impressive. At the time of our visit, the area you could walk around was restricted to only the large buildings. Every few feet was a vendor selling all the same things as the neighbor vendor. This made it feel so commercialized and distracted from being able to enjoy the atmosphere of the ruins. Tikal blows this place away. The museum was pretty good. The town has a few shady blocks with some excellent restaurants in the tourist district, but the rest of the town is not all that special.
The owner/manager was waiting for us and checked in, even though we came by bus much later than expected, about 10 p.m. far from the deadline for check in. She was also very helpful whenever we asked anything, including a trip to Bonampac/Yaxchilan. Good breakfast to our liking. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located within walking distance from the bus station and the central street and square. Many nice, inexpensive cafes and restaurants in this street.
I saw some reviews having some concerns about the hygienic conditions. To be fair I have to mention that the lady doing the housekeeping has done an incredible job, it's more the fact that the tenants are not diligent enough in keeping places clean for everyone.. Location is near the Autobuses Terminal and this brings a lot of convenience. I arrived Palenque at 7am with an overnight bus, the hotel allows me to check in early if there's an available bed.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights. The location is perfect, close to town and the Palenque archeological ruins. The owner of the property has a monkey rehabilitation project on site. It was interesting and fun to observe the work they were doing with the monkeys. This is one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico. We heard howler monkeys in the jungle around us at dusk every night. It was magical and we hope to return for a visit at some point in the future.
A nice hotel located within driving distance to the archeological site in Palenque. The rooms, restaurant, and pool are surrounded by huge plants and trees that make you feel immersed in nature. They even had a billiard table next to the reception where we were allowed to play late in the evening (reception is quite far from the rooms, so no problem with noise).
We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food was tasty,
That was the best hot shower I've had in 8 months of being in Mexico, with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was super comfortable. The location amazing, Centro but tucked away on the off street with hotels and restaurants where it's quiet with lots of trees and sounds of monkeys and birds. The balcony off the bedroom into the center square was lovely. The pool lounge area with water fall feature very relaxing.
Everything, there's nothing I can think of that would make me say something was not ok.
Great Hotel, staff is 1st class and amenities just on point.
We arrived @ 7 am, and they gave us the room right at the moment. That helped so much because we had a rather uncomfortable all-night bus ride.
Great pool area, and the restaurant has amazing food at very reasonable prices.
Amazing rooms (with private outdoor areas including each having a private mini pool/hot tub) in the jungle. Lovely main pool. Very relaxing. Good breakfast, especially with option to have it brought to your private terrace. Great location on the road to the Mayan ruins. Very handy that the hotel accepts payment in card (rare outside the centre of Palenque)
The location is the best. Is the closest hotel to the Palenque ruins; you can arrive there on foot. The huts are very comfortable, although the beds are a bit small for tall/large people. It was super nice to be surrounded by nature and we had the chance to see and hear a lot of monkeys!
The restaurant there is nothing special but good enough.
the staff were the most helpful I have found in Mexico within 2 months
unfortunately the basic quality of the place did not bring them justice
mattresses where smelling and the sheets lie quality
rooms are all noisy due to the car park, the hall, the patio and the single glasses windows
was perfect to be in the center and start early tours
The property was located in a beautiful jungle location close to the Palenque ruins. There were many animals that could be seen while on the property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel included a restaurant. The staff went out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure we had a memorial visit.
awesome pool area, spacious rooms with charme, in general the hotel has a nice calm atmosphere - staff is absolutely awesome!
on check out day we toom the night bus from Palenque to Merida which leaves at 10pm - we were allowed to use all hotel facilities until we left at 9pm. great service, thanks a lot
The room we had was simple but decent in a jungle area, about 5 minutes drive to the centre. They have a small simple dinner menu for the evening which is handy. Most highlights are just 10-45 minutes drive away from the hotel. It was nice to hang out in their hammocks.
This small hotel is so beautiful surrounded by
jungle vegetation and yet super close to all the towns facilities. Everything in walking distance. The people running the place are gentle and kind and we had the best shower we’ve had so far in Mexico!
Centrally located hotel, easy to reach from ADO and to get to the main square of Palenque. Healthy breakfast with yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and bread which is a nice chain from pan dulce or fried eggs etc. Would definitely stay again here!
Pool was beautiful and room was very large.
Breakfast was good with a range of options.
The hotel organised a day trip for us to the Palenque ruins and Agua Azul which was great. (Miisol Ha was closed.) Cost 750 pesos and started at 9 AM.
Amazing value for money. Lovely hotel experience. Great staff. Comfy room and beds. Nicely decorated hotel. Lovely atmosphere.
Located right next to the ADO bus station and a few minutes from the centre.
We arrived very early and they checked us in. The hotel is very clean, the location is perfect. They really speak English. The staff helped us to visit the places around. Great place to stay in Palenque
Great little place to stay for a few days in Palenque! We also had to change our plans at short notice, but the hotel was super friendly and flexible with our change request of our reservation. :-)
