Only 8 minutes walk from the town, but in the lush forests. Birds are around - we loved the whole experience! Amazing time, we had our own car it had free parking and everything. I recommend the stand alone bungalows - terrace with hammocks, huge bathroom. We were a bit cold and got 2 heaters right away, it made our room super warm :)
The breakfast is great, jacuzzi with the view is excellent also!

Breakfast was complete, fresh bread, cheese, arepas, friends and eggs. Also we had a very early (before 7 am) breakfast that the staff could accommodate for us. Really appreciate the flexibility they provided us.

Salento is picturesque with colorful houses and beautiful interiors, located in the mountains and with a valley that is one of the main entrances to the high "nevados". Everything in Salento is about coffee, art, nature, birds and hiking. The best time to visit Salento is outside of the high season for a truly relax experience.

The cocora valley was closed on the 2 days we were there.
The cocora valley was closed on the 2 days we were there. This was the main reason we went and due to heavy rains or something along those lines, the road was damaged and not accessible by the Willy trucks. So everyone in line was turned away and told it was closed. Salento is very salesy - Filandia is a similar vibe with all of the painted houses but a bit less sales oriented. Would have stayed in Filandia and visited Salento for the day instead.
Coffee excursion was enjoyable.

Beautiful, colorful and lively town that preserves the architecture, traditions and flair of Colombia's coffee region. The place welcomes everyone , solo travelers, couples, families, etc. It offers a good variety of activities, ranging from strolling around the town to mountain trekking, from tours at coffee farms to fine handcrafts shopping, from dining traditional dishes to international cuisine. I recommend visiting this town to everyone.

I was pleased we chose to stay in Salento rather than at an outlying hacienda. Salento was very crowded with tourists/travelers but the town plaza was our favorite place to be in the mornings/evenings. Our two favorite restaurants were Juan Esteban (on the square) and Betatown. Both had very good food and service.

A cute, colourful town near the stunning Valle de Cocora, which is the main reason to visit. The coffee tours are a bit touristy, but it’s a good vibe. Be sure to play “tejos” and have a few beers at Los Amigos.
The hotel is super charming and authentic. Service was great, beds were comfortable and location was very convenient (outside of Salento's busy area but walking distance from the plaza ~10min).
The staff was super attentive. We engaged with Don Julio over whatsapp before arriving and he was super nice and helpful (i.e.: recommended a driver for airport service, horse back riding provider and coffee farm visits).
The views from the hotel are amazing.
The night campfire was a lot of fun for the kids and they got to see tons of fireflies!
The location and the property were really great. It's a beautiful building with an enormous wraparound porch with beautiful views to the south and west. Also, the people who own and staff the place are really nice and there is a warm feel here. Also, great to have parking on site since the street situation in Salento can be pretty difficult.
Quiet place, close to but far enough away, from the bustle of downtown Salento. Great for people who want to be able to walk around town but don't want to be in the party.
We stayed in an amazing room with the most beautiful view (with jacuzzi). The jacuzzi is not the most comfortable but the views from balcony are astonishing. We were offered breakfast in the room and we enjoyed the views from our room. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill near the mirador de Salento with same views. The owner helped us organise a bike tour and gave us restaurant recommendations and couldn't be more helpful.
everything was great! Staff were super helpful and friendly (and spoke English), breakfast was really tasty, beds were very comfortable and shower was nice and hot!! location is a ten min walk from the bus station and five min walk from the main plaza, but Salento is really safe. We didn’t have a chance to have the massages but heard they were good.
Would definitely stay here again if visiting Solento!
We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the hotel staff are very attentive and helped us with all of our questions, booking of activities and were super responsive for some last minute changes we needed to make. Food for breakfast and dinner was great, as were room & view. We were only here for one night but would suggest staying at least 2-3 nights in Salento.
The view of the hotel is breathtaking. Location is good. 10 minutes walking from Salento center. Breakfast was wonderful. They serve delicious scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, fruit juice, coffee, bread, cream cheese, cereals etc. Cristina is a great host. She is very helpful with your questions about restaurants, coffee farm tours, cocora valley tours etc. Overall we loved this place!
The hotel was extremely charming, clean and well located, the staff was very friendly; the lady who served us the breakfast was a star. And Juan was beyond expectation, a very lovely young guy, who even took the time on his day off to organise some tours for us in Salento, and took us around the city. He really made our trip memorable. Big Thanks and looking forward to visit again.
This place is nothing less than excellence, starting with the staff, especially Yislady, who welcomed and pampered us from beginning to end. Great location, a few blocks away from beautiful Salento, in really quiet and safe area. Breakfast was incredible, every day, and the amenities (sauna, jacuzzi) beautiful and clean. This place deserves more than five stars.
I loved our stay at Boutique San Miguel de Salento! The staff was super helpful and very nice! They helped us coordinate all the activities and transportation during our stay. The hotel was just fully renovated so the room was beautiful and clean. Finally the location was great, just a couple of blocks to the town’s center.
Pedro is a really great guy. He greets you warmly every time you run into him. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with him while he practiced his English with me.
The location is convenient being outside the main core of Salento and also only a couple minute walk from the bus station. The dorm rooms are nice and clean.
This is my second stay at Terrazas de Salento and I loved it just as much as the first time. It has such a peaceful, homely and grounded feeling. Leider was delightful and I so appreciate all his help and care during my stay. The couple that own the hotel are very warm and welcoming too. Muchas gracias.
Beautiful family hotel with splendid views across the valley and mountains next to Salento. The villa is situated on the edge of the town, quiet with a nice garden and space to leave a car. The host family is very welcoming and friendly. Short walk into the town centre and to the mirador.
It has been one of the best hotels we have ever stayed, in it was a sudden thing for us to stay in Salento, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating, the place is cozy and proper. The location can't be matched. We are definitely coming back.
The services provided by the staff was amazing. The beds were confortable and the rooms are super clean and cozy. This is the closest to a 5 star hotel in the whole Salento area. Special thanks to Gustavo, Mauricio and Cristina, great group of people who make this place extra special.
Super cute little hotel in the heart of Salento. Very clean and comfy. Really good breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs and bread) served by the most adorable lady. Cristina, the owner, has great advice for travelers.
Good location in a quiet area but still easy to walk to the town center. Free parking, decent wiki, great views from the breakfast area. Cheap compared to other hotels in Salento.
