At Fossatun Camping Pods, there is access to extra convenience, such as a service house with shared bathroom facilities, communal changing rooms and showers, plus a private shower. There are also two shared equipped kitchen and dining houses plus outdoor barbecue facilities.

The facilities were wonderful and the bed was very comfortable and it was in a remote enough location to see the northern lights

Charming place with small camping pods and cottages in different sizes, located next to a beautiful waterfall. Clean and tidy, and with nice facilities such as a shared kitchen, hot tubs and restrooms. They also had a troll garden and playground for kids. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast (not included) was nice. Great value for money!

We loved everything about our stay at Fossatun Camping Pods. All the facilities were good. We loved the hot tub. And the hill where you could go and admire the Northern Lights is close. The atmosphere is very nice. There are enough utensils, pots, pans and plates for everyone. The kettles could be a bit bigger. Breakfast was good. The price for it was a bit dear, but compared to the prices in Iceland, it was good. Also, you have to pay for bedding. This stay was unforgettable. We might even consider coming back.

Communal kitchen had good facilities, including new appliances (air fryer / microwave oven). It was new 2 x kitchen, so plenty of space for people to share. The camping pods were cosy in size and quite warm.

What a little gem. We expected something a little humble given it's a camp site, but we were impressed with the entire property. It is not 5 star, but for camping it was better than we are used to. The breakfast was full and fairly priced. The grounds were beautiful and adventurous for young kids. It was quiet and peaceful.

Another type of accommodation in barrels/pods, which offers more camping comfort but is less expensive than a classic hotel room. The campsite also offers hot tubs for all guests to use and a "troll path" to explore. Recommended.

i loved the little camping pod! it was perfect for that “glamping” feel. comfortable, private, and affordable. I did like the little touches that the owner has done to incorporate troll culture into the facility. I’m looking forward to reading one of his books :)

One of the best campsites I have been to. Fabulous location of the entire complex in the vicinity of a river, waterfalls, beautiful mountains and lakes. A sizeable resort with 2 kitchens, several showers, small hot water pools, a restaurant. Lots of attractions for children, a playground and a field game in the theme of trolls. Additionally, free mini golf.

The hotel and campground is set next to a cascade waterfall and the grounds dotted with troll art and games. It is just over an hour out of Reykjavik, but seems like it is in another world. The hotel room was a good size with view of the river but the camping pods look a bit small. The troll walks are a lot of fun. The resturant both for dinner and breakfast was very good, and all of the staff were helpful.
