The Manger was especially helpful and very efficient seeing us to our accommodation. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The front of House restaurant Manager was super busy and efficiently dispatched patrons to their tables, he was exceptionally kind and fitted us in; we hadn't known to book in advance. The food was good value, great choices and variety. Service from everyone; all the young woman waiters as well was "beyond". Also, I liked the character of the place - lounge and building and bar. Bonus - fun Llamas to watch being fed.

Breakfast was great with lots of options and Beccy was absolutely fabulous. She listened, worked with us and made variations based on the individual needs of all parties. Steve, the handyman came and fixed the door locking issue at night which was incredible and he also helped out allowing us to borrow his phone to make a phonecall about our aunt's funeral the following day when we could not do it on our own. Claire was also lovely. Just so thoughtful and kind staff - fabulous and made such a great memory for us. The warm position we had in front of the open fire and ate in warmth having just arrived from hot, humid Aussie conditions into icy, chilly but invigorating conditions of England. Ahhh, just delicious.

You get what pay for us an excellent cellar. Rooms are small and basic but everything is provided including extra milk etc.

Gorgeous creamy porridge with fruit. A pot of tea was very welcome. We could have had a far bigger breakfast if we had wanted it.

Breakfast was amazing and very satisfying, location & accommodation was perfect very cosy, quiet.
