Great host (Loukas) - provided transport to and from the ferry, facilitated a quick check-in and gave us the island basics. Makares is just a short walk to the center of the village. Great seaview, clean - as advertised. Felt comfortable to spend a couple of days there.

Host Dimitrius met us at the port and helped us with our bags and drove us to the lodging. Along the way he shared details about the city and island. The home was STUNNING. Of all the small cyclades we traveled to, this was the best lodging. It was SPACIOUS. The patio was fantastic. Lots of very charming details. It was so nice to get up to a higher elevation and AWAY from the town. We loved waking up and having coffee on the patio while listening to goat bells. It was well-situated between attractions on the island. The bus is frequent, but if you can bring a car to the island that is a major bonus as this house is NOT within walking distance of anything (which we loved).

Advance communication was clear and friendly. Vassilis was an excellent host, giving us a warm welcome and all the information we needed to explore the island, beaches, restaurants etc. Our room was clean and spacious and had a wonderful view. The bed really comfortable. The property is just a little way (3 minutes walk) up from the port and so it is quiet but really close for the restaurants and bars. We loved catching the bus around the island to Kalotaritissa as well as hiking some of the trails to other beaches.

We had an amazing time on the island. The property had an incredible panoramic view, and the room was clean and comfy. The host was very friendy and approachable. It is highly recommended to everyone planning to visit Donousa.

Spacious and well-designed room with a small patio overlooking the sea. The room was thoughtfully organized with plenty of outlets and light switches at strategic locations. Strong AC and Wi-Fi. Conveniently located to the port. Thorough housekeeping. Do not miss the excellent, unaffiliated restaurant located just up the hill behind the space.
