Absolutely loved our stay at Nazionale Matera. Our bus was late and arrived almost at midnight and our host met us late at night to hand over the key.. after hours and with a smile ,,,,that nothing is a problem and was very very accomodating. The apartment is modern, very spacious, almost new and very clean. The staff could not do enough for us and the cleaning service was second to none. As for the location, it was smack in the middle of the town and 5 mins walk to the start of the Sassi. It’s very well located to shops, train station and bus terminal. We would definitely recommend this place and when and if we return to Matera, we would stay here again.

Rosella was an amazing host. She was able to help us with dinner reservations and a hair dresser recommendation. The villa is set on the outskirts within 5 minutes of town. It made parking easy. Lovely rural setting. The room was perfect with breakfast included but also a small kitchenette to make our own light meal. Coffee and tea provided. Thank you Rosella!

The location of the apartment is excellent - near a main road, which allows easy and quick arrival and departure from the city itself and also very convenient access to the historical area of the city - just a few minutes drive. The apartment was beautiful, and tastefully furnished. The lighting was very good, the bed very comfortable. It was located in an easily accessible area of the Sassi Barisano, close to the main Plazza Victoria. It also contained a large TV with Netflix and streaming channels. It offered a patio with beautiful views of the Sassi Caveouso. The owner, Tina, met us in a convenient location on our day of arrival to guide us to the residence.
