The location is ideal for visiting the Chora and also Livadia which has one of the best beaches with tavernas and cafes. In fact there are 2 excellent fish tavernas in this location. The rooms were pristine and Irene the owner is very welcoming and helpful on all matters concerning Astypalia. The service was exemplary and the rooms very clean. Everyday, fresh seasonal fruit was provided, together with water and other provisions. The kitchen pantry is properly stocked with provisions for breakfast . The suites face the sea and are in a tranquil setting….no disturbance from party revellers or late arrivals. It is perfect for a relaxing few days. The suites are recently built and furnished to a high standard .

We have stayed at Mouras studios two years back and we have enjoyed it very much. This time the experience was similar an Maria was a perfect host and very helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and with a stone throw to the Livadi beach. Even arriving there with a broken leg I was able to enjoy my vacation and it is wan in no small measure due to Maria's efforts. We arrived as customers and left as friends. We are looking forward to come back next year.

Great location, very spacious accommodation, fully equipped: toaster, hairdryer, iron, kettle... I was completely obsessed with the balcony and the view from there! My stay was extremely pleasant, I definitely recommend Galaxy!

LARA Italy

The studio is located half way between the port and the old town. We are very thankful to the owners as they coverd our taxi ride on arrival day. Infact from the port it is a steep road with several steps. On departure day it is an easy downhill walk to the port even with suitcases (max. 10min walk). The kitchen is very well equipped (including washing machine), toiletries are provided and there's even a first aid kit with disinfectant and patches (very useful!). The studio is new and its decorations are very accurate. The bed is on a separate mezzanine just above the kitchen (six steps) but very well designed so to create a very nice and cosy area detached from the rest of the studio. A safe is also provided. Breakfast is delivered daily and it includes bread, muffins (sweet and savoury), butter, honey/jam, juice. Maria was very accommodating with my breakfast needs and adjusted it according to my request. Thank you Maria! The old town is 10min uphill walking distance and you can find two grocery stores just before the windmills area. Restaurants and cafés very handy. We enjoyed our dinner at Salis (again we thank Maria for the suggestions) but you need to book as they don't have many tables. We also enjoyed the nice views over the city from our terrace with beautiful sunrises. Finally we appreciated the late check out possibility on departure day.
