Picturesque sea view and very nice property in the rural area of northwest Crete, just a 3 min drive from Afrata Beach, which we really loved. I would like to point out that a very kind welcome package was prepared for us, which was really useful on our first day.

Requires a car. Would recommend checking in during the day because the road between the olive trees is not lit.

Do not always follow your GPS : follow the signs for Achilleas Villa and your won't end up in a wrong turn lol! You need a car to get around because it is secluded but that's the intention anyways.

Thank you Nikos! Everything was perfect! The view up there is truly amazing WoW. Secluded place with absolute silence if it's what you are looking for. Taverna Kali Kardia is a very nice little restaurant in Afrata nor so far away & there is a mini market right beside it. Another one is in Kolimvari recommended by Nikos : Dyktina, an amazing experience :)

The view from the apartment was fantastic, and Nikos was very kind and left lots of things in the fridge for us, which was very welcome. The furnishings in the apartment were all good, and very comfortable, as were the furniture on the various patios. The apartment has a fantastic aspect and got the sun all day. Nikos arranged for a gas bbq, which was useful. Having the pool on the roof was really nice, however, this wasn't very big and it would have been nice to have had use of the pool on the ground floor.

There was nothing we didn’t really like.

The property was very clean and well-maintained, there was an excellent outdoor area to the rear with sun loungers, furniture, a small pool and a barbecue. It is really well-placed for visiting local attractions in the area and Afrata beach is in walking distance.

We liked everything.

Everything was great: the location, the apartment, Nikos - our host. And the view from the terrace... it's simply amazing.... you can never get enough of it. Nikos is a fabulous host, he waited us with fresh fruits, vegetables, water, wine, coffee etc. I already miss Crete, Astratigos and Achilleas Villa...

Lovely little village, 20 min walk to a couple of nice Tavernas. Easy drive to a number of beaches. Host was great lots of good information and LOADS of stuff in fridge for the first couple of days.

We really enjoyed staying at Achilleas Apartment! Everything was perfect. The accommodation was super cozy and clean and everything we needed could be found there. I would say only shower could improve better.

We loved this place to stay. Beautiful beach close by. To get super market, restaurants, other shops very easy. But you should have a car being there. We travelled to 5 beaches during our stay. My favourite beach was closest spot from the house.

Everything was great

A very nice host who came whenever we needed something. Also nice view, very calm and all in all better than we could have imagined. Also having several pools in different sizes was great and felt really luxurious, we really didn't want to leave the house sometimes:)

We could hear quite clearly the noises of stepping coming from the upstair neighbour, which was a bit disturbing in the late hours in an otherway really quiet neighborhood, but it wasn't anything major.

Very well equipped, we had everything ready for us to use, even things we wouldn't even think of (coffee machine with coffee, pan, toaster) . Nikos greeted us on arrival with a smile and loaded refrigerator. He recommended nice local restaurants, beaches and was always available on whatsapp to help. The view was beautiful and we had our own pool with sunbathing area.

Cozy and spacious place with magnificent views. Attention to détails - very practical when travelling with kids - groceries in fridge on arrival, bottle of wine, stuff for kids etc etc. Jacuzzi and swimming pool were a big success with kids as well. Baby beds were well prepared.

Everything was appreciated !

The place is perfectly situated: 30min from Chania, 1h from Elafonissi and easily accessible. Amazing view on the sea. The amenities were really enjoyable: the jacuzzi on the terrace is perfect ! Beds were really confortable and the bathrooms very clean. Nikos was our host, he gave us a fridge full of fruits, wine, eggs, wich was really appreciated. He was available 24/24 for us and really helpful !

In a Remote Location. We didn’t think there was enough hot water for 2 people. The door to the bathroom by the dining room would not close. It looked like it had a nail preventing it from closing at the bottom. But other than that, we liked everything else.

Niko was great. He met us at the villa and went over all we needed to know about the facility. We also gave us great tips on what to see and do. The local Restraurant was great and especially welcoming. We loved the beach that was only 10 minutes away.
