We did not feel unwelcome or uncomfortable for a single moment. all were made with so much love and attention that nothing deprives the joy of the calmness of the relaxation of the beauty! We stayed 20 days in Crete, the hospitality we experienced here was nowhere to be found to such an extent, nor the balance of materials and the authentic traditional architecture and decoration! Absolutely amazing atmosphere of the place. Located in the old quiet part of the town. Reconstruction of the property was done with knowledge, love and attention to detal, combinig historic elements and contemporary needs. Stelios is an amazing host, very profesional yet friendly, sincere and helpful. Perfect choice for everyone who values uniqueness and historic layers of the place.

I'm not the type of person who usually gives a 10. There's always room for improvement, after all! But here, I can't think of anything which could have been better. - Stelios is the best host you can dream of. He will make you feel you're staying at a friend's. He is also an excellent advisor for the region - The house is just magnificient. Perfectly renovated in the best taste. Every tiny detail has been thought to be genuine. There are only 5 apartments, so the location remains very intimitate - The location is just perfect, so quiet in the heights of a small village, far from the buzz of the main towns, yet very accessible by car

No breakfast possible but Stelios offered us a lot or fruits and delicious snacks, thanks for that! Our room was a bit small and a few meter from the rest of the hotel.

Very beautiful, small, calm and authentic place! Nice pool and common parts. The village is quite nice and not too crowed in August. Few nice restaurants accessible by walking. The west part of Crete is amazing and this hotel is a great place to stay for exploring. Finally Stelios is super nice and helpful.

We always had to take a car because all the cafes and restaurants were not so nicely reachable on foot.

The host was extremely nice, giving us so many good suggestions and advices and making us really feel home. The concept of the whole facility is very nice as it was and old settlement recently renovated! Also, the nice little village of Kolymvari is very close and it had many good restaurants and a nice sea front promenade.

I wish I could find more small hotels like this. It is beautifully done, unique, and very comfortable. You can see that the owner takes great pride in his hotel, and he has thought about taking care of his guests as if he would stay there himself. We slept very well (CocoMat beds are amazing) and enjoyed staying here. Thank you to Stelios for such great hospitality.

It’s a great structure that stands out in the town. The common courtyard and pool are very special, and Stelios (the owner) will always come by offering a piece of cake he just baked or a cup of Greek coffee. Great!

On the hill of a seaside village, in the heart of an ancient settlement (in a car free zone), is where Sclopa Laography is situated. True to its name the construction retains all elements of the Cretan architecture (A book explaining all phases of reconstruction was in our room). The furniture, the curtains as well as the little delicious treats offered to us by Mary had all a flavor of Cretan way of living. Thanks for everything. We wish you health and prosperity.

Nothing! Although was quite hard to find.

Lovely quiet retreat within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants & a good supermarket. Super comfy beds, daily cleaning and a lovely bathroom. Occasional food treats were provided by our host which were always delicious. Was a good location for exploring the North western end of the island.

I visited the Sclopa The Laography Project for 4 days and everything was perfect. The room was tranditional (over 200 years old ) but was perfectly restored with respect to local laography. Moreover i was modern enough with a very nice pool. The personell was very hospitable and made us feel like home. I would certainly visit it again if i come to Kolympari

it was our lucky day! on a road trip to Crete, we used to book accommodation at the last minute-October is not a full period, so we also booked at SCLOPA the day before. EXPERIENCE STAY I have never written a hotel review before, I’ll try to be short and concise! The first contact when you arrive at the guest house is unique! when the door to the room opened, I realized that, for the first time I had made a really good choice of accommodation. when the first night's stay was completed, I asked to extend my reservation for 4 additional nights.
